We were much better in the 2nd half. JSU is a good defensive team. I hope we improve offensively but JSU was still good.

This was a good challenge out of the gate. Photo looks like someone who will help us this year and that’s big. Need to shoot better and work on shot selection. Rebounding and free throws were the difference. Defense was pretty solid second half, good win…Great shot from Etienne, but I hope we don’t have to count on 35 footers all season

Nice win for the Shocks. Everyone's observations pretty much reflect my own. Crowd was good and got into it when we tied the score and when we went ahead. Not a lot to cheer about curing the rest. Shocks defended pretty well...as well as I have seen in a while anyway. They were pretty scrappy going after the rebounds and loose balls. Better effort than last week. This is a game to build on for what is coming up. Very good effort on defense and JVille had to work pretty hard for their points. Pohto and Grant are very good and Porter played well and grabbed several rebounds that kept the possession alive. If Dexter could just hit more consistently his three ball the defense would have to play him up instead of laying off and cutting down the passing angles into the middle. RC IV played more composed and not so out of control. Liked Monzie's play while he was on the floor. This team can play 10 guys pretty easily and the parts are pretty interchangeable at this point except for DD and TE. This will pay dividends as the season progresses in keeping their legs fresher. The effort was there all night long just the results were not up to anyone's expectations. Go Shocks
