We don't need entry level student/employees having to argue with full grown adults who don't want to follow the rules. Write an email or discontinue donating money or something. No reason to put all the stress on someone's kid who is checking tickets part time while studying.
I agree …putting employees in that position is bad enough with this policy-don’t make it worse. If you feel that strongly against wearing one to a game, stay home.

I was at the same performance and noted the same thing. The big question now, however, is what those poor student singers and musicians have to do going forward. If they are forced to wear masks, they can’t even study the subjects for which they came to Wichita State for. The Christmas Concerts should be simply thrilling with all the students muzzled. The students were released from wearing masks last May and came back to campus in good faith. The numbers are no worse now than they were then. This is nothing but a money decision and is not in the best interest of the students or faculty.

Your comment and Shocker Lurker is taking Shock it to me out of context. He simply said that he doubted that the CKA employees wouldn’t be able to enforce the masking order enough to keep ALL masks pulled up over their noses. I see that everyday at the grocery store, Walmart, and schools. Now add people who are eating and drinking to the list of unproperly masked people, and masking won’t be perfect (far from it). My advice is that anyone who is scared of catching Covid should Vax up and possibly stay home. I seriously doubt that very many (if any) people at the games will confront employees, or attack them for doing their jobs. I, however won’t speak for any alcohol drunks. They are capable of anything, depending on how much they partake.

Does IBA get any federal money? The masking mandates don’t apply there. The KSU game should have plenty of Shocker fans going. Get your tickets.

I would personally not attend a game where I had to wear a mask. I would support the team from home. Not worth it, IMO. I don't have to make that choice being in San Diego, but that would be my personal choice. It's completely ludicrous and arbitrary with no basis in logic or science.

I mean, let’s be honest, the non-con games at CKA were already unappealing enough….

Well according to Shocker lurker, Shoxlax, and Eric, all workers, kids, and others who drop their mask below their nose should not go to work, school, grocery stores, etc. just stay home. You are putting employees in bad positions. This will keep most or at least many employees from going to work.

That isn't what he said, and what he said wasn't extreme at all. The fans that show up to the game won't be extremists at all. They will be just like regular people that go out everyday to school, Walmart, or grocery stores.

The people who tire me are those who believe that masks solve all covid problems instead of maybe having a minor positive effect to curb covid at best.

As someone who is unable to wear a mask for very long, I won't even consider going to games this year unless this changes.

Go woke, go broke. WSU doesn't have the luxury of financially self-imposing a financial hit from lack of butts in seats due to this mask/vax stupidity. We have enough risk on the table with the current conference affiliation future fiasco. I fear the golden years of WSU basketball ended when the Prez. Golden era began.
