Of course you had Drieling and Sherrod, ( All-American's from Wichita). who did the same, but Antoine was the best of the group.
    Easily.

As stated prior AC could have went pro after his Junior season but decided to stay for his Senior season. A Year In Which The Shocks Were Sanctioned From Post Season Play! Him and Cleo stand alone as literal Hometown heroes.

I recall reading in Slam many years ago that the Big Dawg took out X with one punch at practice many years ago. Anyone else on here remember reading, or hearing any first hand accounts of that incident? That is saying something.

If not for his ❤️ Attack in his prime with the New York Knicks, he would have been one of the best NBA players of All Time too.
"Dave Stallworth" sculpture outside of Koch says it all. Dave was the first widely acknowledged super talent to have played at WSU.

Just looked at your link and saw that Max Moss is listed as an "Academic All-American". Max played at K-State for Tex Winter and lives in Wichita. Just saw him yesterday.

Most of the recent fans will choose players from their era as their favorite and that is understandable. I’m not sure I can pick a favorite because I like many Shockers. I like Fred, Antoine, X, etc. However, from a purely Scientific viewpoint, I’ll choose Dave. Probably X was our most decorated professional player, but to one of my arguments regarding Dave Stallworth s bad Luck with his heart attack, where he had to sit out a couple of years during his prime, he was a great enough player, that he would have been a highly decorated pro, had he not had heart sickness.

I have only a fuzzy memory of him (probably I remember his comeback from his heart problems most because of my age), but I remember my father talking about how great a pro player he would have been. Finally, Dave came back to Wichita to live and raise his family following his pro career in the Big Apple. No other Shocker AA Great has done that. That leaves a soft spot in my heart for him. His loyalty to our city is a great gesture toward our university, and that is the reason he would be my favorite.
I agree with your data points on DS and I saw him play in person, on television and listened to GG on the radio; but I was on campus with Warren - a gifted athlete. Warren spoke openly about many socially "hot" issues at the time which did not earn him a lot of support in some quarters. But on the court I can only write "wow" - had the privilege to present the colors at Henry Levitt Arena prior to the game against Louisville (met Wes Unseld in the tunnel) in 1966 - a memorable game with two great athletes going head to head. Unfortunately for Warren, Unseld was 5 inches taller and 60 pounds of muscle heavier.

            X. And it’s not close. I will admit that part of my reason is because I was a teenager when he was dominating college basketball. What a stud! Distant second is Tom Kosich. Ha!

Cleo Littleton, by far. Leading scorer in Shocker history. He couldn't play in all the away games due racial restrictions. And he is "Other". Wow

Not hard to do, Shock. There are so many Favorites and Outstanding players in the last 70 years or so.

Most definitely. X man IS the most intimidating player in Shocker history. He had that look of intensity, to go along with a build that was imposing in and if itself.
                          Nolan Richardson agrees with JVShocker!

I think we can all agree that with his defensive tenacity and three point skills he was definitely the best player of the '90's.
