Well, I've never heard him call a game and say one of the teams are worthless pieces of ****. Ok, he did do that to Illinois State, but everyone calls them that so it doesn't count.

I don’t see the Houston game happening. This whole town is a **** show right now.

Depending on when they plan to leave and if the forecast holds, it could get dicey. If they leave Thursday they might be ok.

Like millions of others, I’m stuck at home with no power or water. Water pipes are breaking, there aren’t enough plumbers in this city to fix everything in short order. I have no idea what’s happening on the news because the internet providers are down. It’s like 3rd world.

Without getting personal, Dan, do you live in Wichita?

Looks like Flight Aware shows planes leaving from IAH okay. Do the Cougars fly charter or commercial?

I have in laws that live in Houston and it sounds a lot like what they are experiencing, So I would guess he lives down there.

I'm in the same boat just about 35 miles east of Austin. Gathering snow and any water I can get to flush a toilet. Local convenience stores out of drinking water except the high priced small bottles in the coolers. I paid $8 for about 1/2 gallon last night so we have something to drink.
my birthday is 2/18 so I am guessing the shocks give me a big win for by birthday.

I'd almost guarantee they normally fly charter. That said .. who knows what is available right now.

I’m in Houston. I have a gas generator with the fridge and a few necessities plugged into it. We get water for the toilets for our pool and had filled up about 10 gallons for drinking before the water got shut off. The gas stations are mostly shut down cuz they don’t have power. We found 2 stations about 3 miles from the house that were open and cars were 20 deep in line to get gas for their generators. No one is working. It’s a mess.

Damn, so sorry to hear what you guys are going thru! If you don't mind my asking, is the reason you have no water due to everything being frozen or is everything shut off? Is electric outage still due to rolling or is it a bigger issue?

the pipes froze and break so I had to shut off the water main. I had to rip the ceiling out in the master bath to find the leak, what a freakin mess. Even if you don’t have any broken pipes, the city water has been slowed to a trickle due to all the breakages around the city. Everyone is helping each other get through. Some of my neighbors have come over to get water out of my pool so they can flush their toilets. I have others plugging things into my generator. I’ve basically been sitting by my fireplace for 2 days now.

as for power, we went down Monday. There’s no telling when it will be back on. It hasn’t rolled back on where I am.
