The Chiefs lost to the Raiders and were still the odds on favorites to go to the Super Bowl. We were prior ro this game a borderline tournament team. They are not the same thing. This loss was atrocious. This loss was embarassing. This loss wasn't even close. We were out played and out coached all night.

Our guys didn't look too unhappy after getting clowned by Memphis. Kinda weird.

Because they got rid of that meanie that would get on them.

Truth would be respecting everyone’s opinion. Wins equal happy feelings. A loss...it hurts and we need an outlet before moving on. Bottom line is we all want this group of Shockers to be successful!

I hear you. Its not the fact that they loss, its how they lost that bothers me. It seems to be the same formula each year.. Our guys play like they have no basketball IQ, we miss a ton of open shots, and we get dominated inside the paint by their bigs. I guess I was hoping this year would be different.. The shocks record against Penny in Memphis the past 4 years is 0-4.

Right the Shocks beat Memphis in Memphis when Tubby Smith was the coach that first year . But they have never beaten Penny Hardaway in Memphis. Thats the point I am making. Tired of it.

I don’t remember years past, but I don’t remember shooting so many blanks. We probably did but this team should be a decent shooting team, and we w/o looking at the stats because it would be depressing, I would venture we shot no better than 20% from three. But I wouldn’t be surprised if we missed everything (rim and board) 30% of the time. Our shooting was so bad, I don’t remember a game so bad, and we’ve had a couple of bad shooting teams recently.

Well, I will give it to you as you laid out how the offense should go through a post player who hasn't shown a consistent ability to make good decisions when he gets the ball. He is a turnover machine, his critical thinking is short-sided, his passing out of the post is suspect, but by all means let's go through Mo to run the offense. You act as though he is the second coming of Bill Walton.

Agree but I think our defense was so bad in the second half that it wouldn’t have mattered.

Well sure.. Not saying we would've won...but yeah....make a normal percentage of our shots and the ebbs and flow would've given us a better chance to pull it out on the road again.

As I feared: That message that Penny tried to get across before the Tulsa game (which they lost) didn't take hold until after the Tulsa game, which meant we were next. We caught them at the wrong time (for us) and the wrong place. Their big's played real big.
