Wichita State is one of three teams over the last 2 year with 2 or less road losses. The other two teams are San Diego State and some team north and east of here.

The one bright side to CU sleazing it out against the Bears is that it preserves our chance to play Murray State. We're about one Bluejay loss away from St. Mary's-Murray State being the marquee game while we get banished to Iona.

That said...of course I would have preferred them to lose.

I think Mike said Garrett tweaked his back in practice and 3G confirmed that he did something to his back. He looked like he was in a lot of pain on the bench at the end of the game. May have been having some back spasms which are not fun at all. Hopefully, nothing too serious. Crossing my fingers that some muscle relaxers and a couple of days rest will resolve the issue. Losing Garrett is a hole we simply can't fill this year.

Benefit of hindsight and instant replay.... The shot was not a shot that player would normally take, and while I am grateful that he made it, he has take similar shots at similarly crucial times and missed and cost us some games. Not bagging on TM. Just stating that at first glance that was a very lucky shot.

Not hindsight I went straight to replay when it happened because I thought it was dumb luck. You can see him clearly studying the hoop during the pass/catch/turn. It was not dumb luck. Believe me we have all seen his boneheaded plays and this was not one of them.

I don't like CU as well....but we need them to keep winning to keep this conference RPI reasonable. I hope WSU goes into Omaha with them tied for the conference lead
