I will take the 1 point win, but let me add a statement and not a prediction. It's time for this team, right now, to step up. Yes, they have some good wins, and yes they've lost a few close games against good teams. They've even won games on the road against a good opponent when that team played at a high level.

That's all good. They can do better. I look at the brackets and say to myself "give me any seed on the other half of the Duke bracket. NOBODY scares me there..in fact I think we're the best team other than Duke and Temple beat Duke and I know were as good as Temple."

This team can be great, right now. There's no reason not to be. But we have to be dedicated, tough and professional. This WSU team can destroy teams.

Start tonight, play like Champions, and send a message to the rest of the Valley and the NATION that to win ANYTHING, they have to go through you.

Shox could lose tonight and still do those things you envision. NOBODY would want to see a truly fired up UNI at their place this year. No shame there.

I expect UNI to play with their backs against the wall.. same as ISU did Sunday.. but they're a shade better than ISU IMO. Shox could be looking at the second of their three Valley losses this year. <- There's a prediction, of sorts.

Saw a friend of mine who is a UNI grad this morning. Asked him why he was falling over backward when I walked in the room....told him he was practicing for the game tonight. Then told him I heard Chuck Norris was in CF assisting with choreography for the big show,,,I mean game tonight. He chuckled and muttered something about being scared about the paint. I reitterated the backside slide as the great equilizer. We had some good laughs.

Bottom line. Do not let James go off!! If he kills us off the dribble like he did last year, those skinny posts will have wide open 3's as we have to go help. Pressure in the full court and keep your man in front of you once across half court. Defend, win, and go home. Champions play with courage, confidence and cohesiveness.
