I love our guards. JB and ES bring their lunch pails every game and both obviously worked very hard over the off-season on their shot and it is showing. Strong on D and rebound hard. TE and GS are so composed. Down most of the 2nd half they played huge minutes and looked like upperclassmen. Grant's shake and bake is fun to watch - when things get spread out he is very dangerous. Enjoying it now but looking forward to how much better they'll be in Feb.

Jamie's extended D is really important for us. Thought he moved his feet really well.

Dexter is on the way back. Hoping him getting to see some FTs go down helps his shooting eye.

OSU down...OU down...this is fun.

Also of note; after hitting 13 of 28 threes over the past 4 games, ES is now shooting .345 on the season.

I wasn't sold on Stevenson last year, but losing the weight to get quicker made a HUGE difference - and he had to have absolutely busted butt and done EVERYTHING Marshall asked of him to improve his game. I don't think I've ever seen that kind of improvement from a Fr year to a So year.

The block he got was insane. That required great reactions, great acceleration to get there, and then some major vertical elevation to make the block. He gives us an attitude element we haven't had since VanVleet and Baker were here.

The recognition and adjustment HCGM made today when he switched out JB to GS at the point was one of his best moves I've seen in a while. GS was absolutely the difference in this game...his ability to see the floor, penetrate the lane and hit key shots/floaters was big time.
The various contributions down the stretch were the mark of a upper level team developing right before us. Etienne's trey from the corner, DD clutch FT's, GS making an incredible catch on the inbounds and then making the resulting FT's, TW with the offensive rebound and stick back... just major work from all involved when it was THE time to decide the outcome.
But this team will go as far as ES wills them. He is a true leader... starting to venture into RB-type territory.

I'm just happy that Lon Kruger isn't a puss and is continuing this series. It has a little more pep in it with the recent transfer situation but I think it's a great game for both parties. This is the type of Big 12 opponent that gets me excited.

1. Reaves is good but he’s not Shocker good. He still gets exposed on D like he did when he played for us.
2. JB and GS compliment each other. It’s good to have 2 different PGs that can take over when needed.
3. Stevenson is a stud. He’s trying to make us forget Rob Barker.
4. Every time I read GS, I still think Garrett Stutz.
5. I was gonna be happy to win 2 of 3 vs OSU, OU, VCU. Mission accomplished. He have a high ceiling.
6. I wish Echenique would post up like Shaq. Posting up 10 feet from the basket does no good whatsoever.
