I'm not talking about just this 1 game. But I won't drag this out after a good W.

I'm not saying he doesn't add value in other areas. But when the ball is in his hands (minus the OSU game), it's borderline cringeworthy at times.

He is our best defender and he bailed us out last year when SHJ wasn’t doing the job at PG but when he tries to do too much you are right, he struggles at that position like he did tonite. A good penetrating PG can carve OU up which is why I thought Grant would have a good game. They are not physical and he thrives in that open type game.

Expanding the sample size hurts your case, IMO. He is Top 50 in assist rate and even higher in A:TO.

I do agree that it can be cringeworthy at times. IMO that has been true of Sherfield for all but a couple 10 minute stretches. Now, I'm on record that I think this team's ceiling is higher if Sherfield can take over the PG role. Its floor is high because we have Burton at PG while he learns. Burton has other positions he can play, so it should be a fairly smooth transition when the time comes, and if Burton is your backup PG, IMO you're in pretty tall cotton.

I didn't see anything different from Reaves than what I saw when he played for us. He's a good 3rd point shooter if you give him an open look and an average to maybe a little above average defender.

Agreed. The ceiling on this team (right now) has Sherfield catching up with ES and TE in the backcourt with JB and DD playing the role of cotton.

Need IPBC to be the primary back-up to TW and JE and MU to be the enforcers in the paint.

Mo needs to figure out how to stay on the court a few more minutes per game. The ball finds the bottom of the net when he gets it in the paint.

If creating offense is jumping into retreating defenders to get fouls called, yep - he's very good at it. He should have fouled out on charging calls, but somehow he gets FT's by jumping into defensive players. Refs give him horizontality instead of verticality.

Austin is a good offensive player. Probably a little to slow to be a good defensive player. I like his game. He knows how to get the best out of his ability. Time for us to move on. Good luck to him for the rest of his career.

We have a great bench. Nice that our guys have someone to step up if they get in foul trouble. Our defense and rebounding is top notch! Only 2 turnovers in the second half. Fantastic!
