Ok my prediction sucked, in that I was off by the margin. I was just thinking "man we're having point guard problems, which is why the offense is so stagnant."

Mr. Sherfield must've thought the same and went and did something about it right after!

I really loved the clutch, cold as ice performance at the line. That combined with stellar defense and rebounding will win you a TON of games.

Stevenson was more than a fine replacement for Reeves. But I’d still like to have them both.

Those 3x 3s at the end were making things very uncomfortable. I'm glad we came out with a Win. Can't slack and let the foot off of the pedal too soon. Not a Win until the clock hits ZERO. Love how the guards are pushing each other to higher height.

Shox played out of rhythmic coordination on offense for most of the game and at times our perimeter D was missing. Very happy for the win as the Shox are a better team.

What a game and what a crowd tonight! Don't know if it showed on TV but I thought the crowd willed this win....loud and on our feet most off the final 10 minutes. 3G even gave the folks some love as they were headed to the locker room.

And yes, Stevenson is a total badass. Heart and soul of this team sounds about right. And that's saying a lot, cause there is NO shortage of heart on the entire bench.

If Eric continues on this trajectory, he could end up leading these Shockers to another historic run.

Did Udeze ever play with Echenique on the floor at the same time? When I look at Udeze I can't help but think that he is built like an old time classic power forward. Seems to handle the ball well inside and with a mid range shot he could be lethal....but does he have the hops to get open?

His range is 8 foot and in. It crowds the post a little. He would be a very good power forward in a high-low scheme.

All caught up now. Here’s my thoughts:

Reeves is a joy to watch when he has the ball in his hands. The rest of his game is fairly meh. No doubt the Shockers would benefit from him being on this team, but I don’t think I’d trade any guards for him. If I were in attendance, I would have politely applauded him in the intro. I did, however get some schadenfreude from the booing.

Stevenson continues to produce in a very Rob Barker way. Hustle and toughness define his play. He’s playing smarter now, and it’s really paying off!

Not Burton’s best game, but isn’t it great to bring in Sherfield when JB is down? What a great 1-2 punch at PG! Sherfield is a winner as evidenced by his cool hand at the three point line. Once he learns how to run the team, his value will equal Stevenson’s.

Etienne also showed toughness grabbing rebounds and boxing out. Like ES, JB, and GS, he is a pure winner!

Udeze is a bull! And how about the double-double from Trey! I had no idea he had 15 board!

Need to keep the offense moving. We still seem to be off on our timing. I think OU had something to do with that, but we wore them down and looked great closing the game.

We didn’t play a consistent game but we did have some very good stretches. The 12-0 run was simple marvelous and making clutch free throws shows this team has a little of the “ it “ factor that good teams have. This would have been a tough one to lose, game of runs. Hope Austin has a good year along with OU. I like Kruger, but the good guys won today...
