we are 17-5 and lost heartbreakers in the last two games. The conference season so far has been disappointing but is difficulty this season really such a huge surprise?

I’d expect them to not lay down in the first half of a game for starters

Im with you on that one. That game was nasty as sh**. I turned it off at 61-30 or something like that.

        • There is more going on with Erik than we are seeing, the fire is out or maybe just flickering. Earlier this year he was our star, always playing with extra effort and high basketball IQ. WE HE NEED THE OLD ERIK BACK NOW!!!! But what is the problem? Will it be contagious? We really need to figure this out and get the problem, where ever it might be, corrected.

          • Some serious bad body language after Erik's second turnover in the first half. Marhsall pulled him and he did not like it nor appeared to understand why. It might be warranted, others on the team seem to have a longer leash.

He also fouled twice in those two minutes. It’s his own fault.

                  • I'm so sick of Erik being some of your punching bag. Some of you dumbsh!ts couldn't hit water if you fell out of a boat.

Do you seriously believe some secret film of him was released on 1/13 after UConn that allowed people to play him better?

Erik's leash is non-existent at this point. Sherfield could be pissing down his leg in fear and HCGM would leave him in. It's almost like HCGM can't handle another alpha on this team...when the sh!tshow on the court desperately needs one.

                    • GS is also a PG and a freshman.

If you want to the player who is going to be your primary ball handler and passer to get better, he is going to need a longer leash.

Maybe it’s ES body language HCGM isn’t currently liking.

                        • Houston’s scout on Erik went public via an article published on “The Athletic.” He can only hurt you via open threes. He cannot dribble with his left hand... he doesn’t handle close pressure.

He isn’t playing worse - American coaches figured out he was the head of the snake and have decided stopping Erik is the equivalent of stopping WSU. As soon as he has the ball - teams are cranking up the on-ball pressure until he makes a mistake.

Totally Agree 100%, I am not against Erik. He has some good qualities. I am glad he hit that 3 late in the game. But the first thing he did when he got in today was turn it over. Twice. The scout on all these guys is known by coaches in this league.. Erik and everybody else on this team need to figure this out and adjust. I know I grow tired of people acting like Erik's poor play is the result of guys on shockernet,, coaches, and anybody else that is responsible for supposedly taking his mojo. Give us a break. They all need to man up and stop feeling sorry for themselves.

                              • If all opposing teams simply need to do is pressure and take out ES (one Shocker player) in order to dismantle the Shocker offense...then this offense is even more predictable and easy to defend than I originally thought.
