  • and TP=Transfer Portal....ALSO very good....

    Comment

    • At the end of the day, Erik (and his dad) can only blame themselves for how everything is turning out. They made the terrible decision to come to Wichita State and they made the decision to transfer to a better program where Erik’s game could flourish. You can blame coaches, systems, whatever you want, but YOU chose to be a part of those places.

      • Every time I see this team play and be genuinely happy for each other’s success, I’m so thankful he isn’t on the team anymore. It’s probably one of the positive things I can say that happened during off season.

Ok Now you are confusing me.

TP used to be "The Process" which is the name Erik picked out for himself, and now you say it's "Transfer Portal".

I haven't watched him play so I can't attest to any hero-ball, but his stats are extremely impressive:

              34 mpg
              43.2% FG
              42% 3FG
              84.8% FT
              4.0 REB
5.3 AST (this would seem to indicate some unselfish play)
              1.7 STL

The only sub-par stat I see are TOs with 2.6.

We have no guard shooting anywhere near those percentages, and he takes a takes a lot of shots. He only has one game where he's taken fewer than 10 shots.

I know this may not be a popular take, but on a team with Tyson's leadership, he might have been a better PG option than Gilbert.

                      • Those are good stats for sure. And significant improvement over last year.

He was a big recruit from UCLA right?

Yes, and he then followed Alford to Nevada

I'm sorry for dropping him in here, on THE PROCESS thread ,but saw his numbers from last night and have watched him twice, and who knows what might have been?

                              • Something must have made Sherfield want to leave. With Burton gone, PT would not have been an issue. Must have been something else. Stevenson gone. Still must have been something else. Once he saw who all was in the portal, he could easily have stayed at WSU if PT or other players were the issue.
