The second year JE is much improved over the first-year JE. I'd gladly take a JuCo who could come in and do what JE is doing this year, but it doesn't work that way. Might as well take a Fr who can contribute in years 2, 3, and 4 instead of a JuCo who's likely to contribute in year 2 and then graduate.

Remember that Jaime struggled with plantar fasciitis and foot problems all last year. If he had been healthy, I think we'd have seen a lot more from him right away. So a healthy "Echenique revisited" type of player could be a worthwhile find even next year.
