Its laughable that somebody thinks that team is going through Houston, Cincinnati, and/or WSU in 3 days. Nope.
Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

Its all about the matchups and we do not match up at all with Houston. Too big, too physical and they have 3 or 4 guys that can get their own shot

I guess this is all karma from the drubbing we gave them on their first conference trip to the Roundhouse in 2018. At least they don't have "man-bun" anymore.
We most likely get them in the semis. If we don't put 2 halves together like the second half of SMU, its not a close game

There is a lot of doom and gloom right now (rightfully so) but, according to bball.notnothing's bracket projection tool, the most realistic situation is Cincy being the 1 seed and us being either the 4 or the 5. Almost every situation ends with Cincy as the 1 seed and that is way better than us having to play Houston. (We would have to beat either UCONN or Memphis to get in that situation).
Our path to the 4 seed: WIN and Memphis lose to Houston.
That would create a 3-way tie between Cincy, Houston, and Tulsa. Which would result in 1. Cincy 2. Houston 3. Tulsa due to a round-robin record between the three teams.

The Shockers would be the No. 4 seed only if Memphis loses at Houston and the No. 5 seed automatically if Memphis wins at Houston.

What if we lose to Tulsa, Houston beats Memphis and Ugone and SMU both win?
4 way tie for 4. Both us and SMU would be 3-1 against that group of 4. We win the tiebreaker right?
UH and Cincy on the other half of the draw. We’d get SMU Tulane winner in the quarters and Tulsa v 89 winner, some combo of Temple, USF UCF & ECU.
UH Cincy Memphis Ugone all on the other half.
Amirite?
