Clearly we could use Perry and having Marshall coach him would give him the toughness that he lacks. I think Conner only plays about five minutes a game at most if he was here, but for the life of me I can't think of who he takes time from. Maybe Wiggins but frankly I doubt that and as I am typing this his minutes are going down. The thing that kills me is why Self did not redshirt him. It is pretty clear that he is not going to play much and it just seems as if he is losing a year of eligibility for nothing. Even going forward in the coming years I have no idea when he is going to get time. He is never going to play in front of Mason and being a one trick pony barely 6 foot, 3 point shooting specialist is not going to get him time in the coming years. I think the redshirt issue is the difference between Marshall and Self. Marshall wants to develop and train his players when self is more concerned if there is someone he can recruit that is better than what he has. I guess Tyrell Reed got some time his senior year so maybe Conner has some hope.Comment

Frankamp would be getting D.J. Bowles minutes. I have a feeling he's be battling Simon for the distinction of being the #4 defender among the guards who aren't an option at SF. Frankamp is starting to look like a shorter. less athletic version of Sean Ogirri.The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

I think Frankamp and Ellis are both in bad systems for their play. Frankamp always wanted to go to KU so nothing would change there. But Ellis needs a different style of coaching to really bring his potential forward. He would probably have been better following Manning to Tulsa if not switching to us. He still has time, this year even, to improve. Self's system does well to those who help themselves.
I also still think Wiggins would have done better in Marshall's system. But again, the year is still young. Unjust worry that if he doesn't improve his NBA stock will drop. (Se for Ellis. Frankamp never had nba stock)Comment

I hope like hope that they both get to watch their home town school play in ANOTHER Final Four. Perry would have been a legend at WSU... not too late boys, come on home.Comment

Oh please....guys are run off all the time, at EVERY program, including WSU and KU. It's not going to hurt anything with anyone that Self thinks can help him win in Lawrence. Marshall and WSU win when they win, and they're winning a lot lately.Originally posted by Veritas View PostComment
