Gregg was absolutely upset because one or some repeatedly missed practice. Even though he said it as an absolute rule with no flexibility I don't think he necessarily meant that and would expect that he would exert his thoughts on the rule. Rules that aren't subject to adjusting to different facts that treat everyone exactly the same just don't work. Every situation has its own parameters.
