This was our first win ever against UConn. We were 0-1 previously.

That win they got was the worst game by those refs ever that slanted so much to UConn, even the TV announcers were complaining. If I recall, UConn in that game shot over 40 throws to the Shocks at around 14? Today, I thought the refs did a very solid call of the game and were very consistent.

Sharing was caring today as we had a surpass of team assists at 17-9. However, 14 turnovers for us and only 11 for them? We need 10 or less by us and high teens for our foes and we will be cookin with olive oil. Guess what? I was wrong? Yup, their bench outscores ours today 26-22 and now way I seen that coming. Here we were, leading the AAC in throws and were 4-12 today? I'm not worried but I'll still hang up and listen. You like rim protection? Both teams blocked 6 shots today led by Shaq with 3.

Here is where the Shocker strength this Season as the rubber meets the road. Shocks win the battle of the boards 47-34 as R. Kelly has a real nose for the ball today with 12. I like it!!! I like That jazz alot!!!!!!!

Their two leading scorers had 18 points apiece today, but both took 20 shots to get to that number. I'm completely ok with that.

RC would tear his foes arms off limb by limb for a rebound long before we coined the hyena, play angry talk. He was an early foundation leading us to where we enjoy today and a true warrior at all times on the hardwood.

Hard to find any fault with RN when he only played two minutes. I thought he would have lit them
up inside had he played 15-18 minutes. Had a big assist when we really needed a lift. He was
helping out when one of their drivers was attacking the basket so either the driver was going to
score or the one that dunked. I think he would have been more effective down low than DW today.
Regardless I think GM coached a good game. Probably played SJ when he shouldn't have and
MM a little too much as he was 0-6 until the final two bunnies made his stats look a little better. I
thought the team played the final six minutes really well on both ends of the court.

As far as I can tell no one has found any fault with Rauno today. This issue isn't how he played but why didn't he play especially when our front court - outside of Rashard - weren't exactly stellar today.

Wow as I stated I would be happy with a one point win today but that was a fugly game from the free throw line and a very uncharacteristic turn over prone LS..I hope the team realize's that these teams in the American all have good athletes and are as athletic and quick as they are. Good win and a valuable coaching tool for the future. Onward and upward. Go Shox

MK mentioned in the pregame show that Ramon has had the most rebounds in a game during the Gregg Marshall era (17 in a conference game against Drake and 14 in a non-conference game against Northern Arizona).

I was anticipating less time for Rauno because McDuffie will be taking minutes from some players in the rotation. He will have to pick up his game to earn minutes from McDuffie, Shaq, ,Kelly, Brown, and Willis. When you play on a top team you always have strong rosters. He is a solid glue player and a good Shocker.
