Good thing UNI has an at-large bid locked up. They are probably going to need it.
Here is some statistical entertainment from that game:

    Rebounds: MSU 51, UNI 26
Alize Johnson nearly matched UNI with 20 rebounds of his own
UNI with a whopping 4 offensive rebounds
UNI senior starting F Bennett Koch - 0 rebounds in 20 minutes
    UNI bench: 4 points (1-12 FG, 2-6 FT), 4 rebounds, 10 fouls.
Both teams combined for just 15 assists

    • Comparative scores mean almost nothing in college basketball unless everything else is equal between the two games. Don’t get sucked into that trap. Look at what Houston did to Arkansas who beat Oklahoma who beat us. It will drive you batshit crazy trying to figure it out.

      • Just spent lunch hour reading the Fran Fraschilla thread in Phog. You should check it out. It warms the soul.

It's like they think the announcers cost them the game, as opposed to weakdefense, ineffective offense, poor coaching, and a bunch of ineligible players sitting behind the bench.

They can’t understand, that just like any other college team, outside their hometown, the number of people that actually give a **** about them is essentially statistically zero.

i didn't see a wichita state-houston thread on phog net. imagine that.

      • I'd much rather have a 35 point lead, let off the gas and win by 15-20 than play like crap and win by 12-15 in the final 5 minutes. The first scenario is much more fixable.

          Yep!

      • Hey. Just for fun, and since KU fans are such fine upstanding salt-of-the-Earth type people, and since they hate us anyway, why don’t a bunch of us meet at a local watering hole and loudly cheer all for TCU tonight?

There are countless teams ahead of us in the rankings that are playing today and could affect or ranking and future seeding, including #5 Xavier losing right now. There are other interesting games, including AAC battles that will affect the quality of our wins, but we're worried about the Jayhawks and whether they'll be 5 spots or 15 spots behind us come Monday. This will never make sense to me.

The issue isn’t one of rankings. Lighten up Francis. The issue is having some fun.

WGAF if people want KU to lose? It doesn't make sense to you? And you're a WSU fan?.... uh huh.

If ECU pulls this off, it definitely tarnishes our win.

.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

Totally agree, Cdizzle, but not necessarily for the mighty War Warrior Shockers.
