section 118 melee
Hey Shockband, I resemble that remark (re:the saxophone--as does Hockey), plus I think Hockey will throw me in front of himself to avoid the tazing/pepperspray/beatdown that may be coming to him. He said that he was going to sit in your seat. That will put either myself or Ary in his seat. Senor Crabbypants better hope its Ary, or he'll get another heaping bowl of what he heard Tuesday night but with a higher voice and maybe the mention of a goat or some other obtuse reference shouted above and beyond his comfort zone. You dont think an old man would hit a big amazon do you?
Royal, thanks for the hint on the KU fan, I knew there was a reason we were bringing him!
No intention of hijacking the thread toward fan noise again but I will say "Viva section 118!" :yahoo:The quality of a person's life is in direct proportion to their commitment to excellence,
regardless of their chosen field of endeavor.

What's the difference between a sax and a lawnmower?
Vibrato. Or you can actually tune a lawnmower.
Of course, then, there are the jokes to my side of the band...
What did the trombonist say when he got to his gig? Would you like fries with that?
What's the difference between a dead snake in the road and a dead trombonist in the road? Skid marks. In front of the snake.

I used to sit in section X row 33. That was the old days, now I'm in 118 row 27 right in the middle.
Q: What do you call a guy who knows how to play a trombone and doesn't?
A: A gentleman
How can you make a french horn sound like a trombone?
a) Take your hand out of the bell and miss all of the notes.I had season FOOTBALL tix... did you?

I've got to get in on this.
I play blues guitar and love the "perfect intonation" that comes from sax players. I use 1/4 tones to establish conflict and resolution. Intelligent listeners have recognized this and asked if I did it on purpose. Of course I did it on purpose.
A good friend of mine invented (and owns Conn SN 1) the trombone that has the thumb switch where a trombonist never has to go past position 4. He put it together on a slow day at Boeing and sent it to Conn. He gets a royalty check every 3 months.
My nephew works in the Athletic Dept. as a GA. The GA's get no tickets. He said the ticket office mistakenly sold the tickets that were supposed to go to the GA's. My nephew volunteered for something and got a seat at the scorer's table just a few chairs away from the Shocker bench.
No, I won't hit him up for any inside info, and if I did I'd never share it here, although he was my source of info for Jared Young, when Young and my nephew were both So's at Pratt JuCo.
I put the first computers in the Athletic Department and wrote the first program they used for season ticket mailings, seats available, SASO charges, etc. Charged them $6,000 for the programming. When they told me it did everything the one they looked at that Princeton used which cost $30K, I tried to see if I could get some tickets.
Carr and McDaniel were playing. I couldn't get a break on SASO contributions and couldn't afford the SASO contributions. I believe the guy I was working with at WSU had a last name starting with "W" and now works at KSU.
I got involved with some non-profits and have had evening commitments for most of the last 20 years that conflict with having season tickets.
I've probably listened to more of Kennedy's broadcasts than most, if not all, WSU fans. I remember Kennedy when he had great hair. The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

New WSU student here, so I haven't been to many games yet, but I try to sit at the edge of 116, usually about the 3rd row....Deep in the heart of couldn't give a crap about college basketball-land and I miss the SHOX.
