Do the MVC teams split the royalties for NIT wins like they do NCAA tourney wins?

I would love to be there, I attended UNL for a year before transferring to WSU.

But I am NOT going to miss a baseball game against Arizona.

          I do have priorities.
Seriously? Support the basketball team. How many Home baseball games are left for the season? (26) Support the basketball team. Shox need to fill the Roundhouse.
The baseball team is playing Arizona, one of the best home games on the schedule.

Besides I like baseball better than basketball.

Having said that, if they move the baseball game so that I could go to both games I would.

Whoops! Good catch. I was caught in the past, I guess.

                Just some rough #'s:

                8,000 ppl @ $25 = $200,000
                10,000 ppl @ $20 = $200,000

$5 per ticket doesn't sound like much, but if you're buying 2,3, or 4+ it adds up quickly. Plus, wouldn't more people mean more concessions, etc.?

Nebraska's Ben Walker played at Hutch High and HCC, so there may be a larger-than-usual contingent from Reno Co. coming to the game, probably wearing red.
                  Royal,
                  Agreed.

Every time he has an opportunity to score with the current and possible future fan base, he sinks deeper in the mud.

Maybe a letter to the editor that read like this might have an impact...

                  Hey Tool,
Your team, who was picked to win the league and finished 2nd, lost 4 at home and laid an egg in STL ends up in the NIT.

So what do you do? Charge $25.00 for tickets to a Tournament game where the eventual winner gets to claim they are #69?

                  Nice. 8)
Every time? Name some other times please.

What did your hero Jim Schaus do for the NIT games hosted during his tenure?

Does anyone have any idea what it costs when WSU hosts a game at Koch Arena? Are you suggesting it might be worth losing money?

I caught something at the MSU board (which hopefully won't require a doctor's visit), that the NIT requires ticket prices to be the same as the regular season, as long as it meets or exceeds the NIT minimums.

So I guess I retract my earlier criticism of the athletic department's decision to not reduct the ticket prices.

We'd better sell a lot of tickets to WSU fans, or Nebraska fans will make this feel like a home game for themselves.

There are a lot of NU fans living in and around Wichita, and you can bet there will be a sea of red in line for tickets when available.

From what I understand, ticket renewals are extremely brisk, and I believe that your assumption of a Red wave are being factored in, at least when talking about ticket prices.

I could be mistaken, but I am expecting a BIG crowd.

I bet the NIT selection committee took our regular season attendance into consideration and the proximity of NU to Wichita as a source of high revenue for them.

It's time to make some predictions:
                            If WSU shoot more than 20 3-pointers: Lose 54 - 60
                            If WSU shoot less than 15 3-pointers: Win 62 - 56
What happens in between? A toss up
Hope they learn from past performances. 8)

Remember your game against Bradley where Bradley used the entire shot clock every possession? That's what Nebraska does. It ain't pretty and it ain't fun to watch.

                              Good luck.

Fixed. They're all not pretty and not fun to watch in this god forsaken grind the living hell out the game until there's nothing but dust left league.
