I don't care who you play. 3 road wins before December is pretty good. This may be a formidable challenge... and maybe, just maybe a non-RPI killer unlike once thought.
      Deuces Valley.
      ... No really, deuces.

If we win, this should help our RPI, these guys are in the Top 30 right now. :D

Just an aside: GW is not very good this year.

However, MD-BC should not be taken lightly. I don't think this team could afford to take anyone lightly after what happened in paradise.

Exactly, MD-BC did beat a team (St. Peter's) who beat Monmouth by 10. They have also won at LaSalle, at Richmond and have beaten George Washington at home.

Looking over MD-BC's roster they have four players who average over 16 points per game so we will have our hands full on the defensive end. The Shockers defense has been solid all season and in the past few games we have been showing teams multiple defensive looks, which makes us an even more difficult team to prepare for.

I have been impressed to see the offensive progress of this team over their past three games. A switch was flipped after the Monmouth game (the worst WSU game that I have seen in person over the past 10 years) and the guys have been playing with aggression and confidence on the offensive end ever since that game ended. The second half of last night's game will only help the team gain more confidence in their abilities. I see continued process and another step in the right direction with this game.

Shox are getting some extra practice time between early-season games.

Last year was a lot of early-season road games - then an exempt tourney in Vegas in December. Having the exempt tourney earlier in the year put a very raw team in the tourney, but there's more time to work on correcting the early-season problems.

Last year the problems were found in December and there wasn't practice time available to work on the problems. The early-season exempt tourney produced results we didn't want to see, but it's allowing additional practice time to correct problems.

The Shox have basically improved every game since Monmouth. I think the extra practice time at this stage of the season is going to continue that trend.

Ellis and Griskenas belong on D1 courts this year. As soon as they are comfortable with that, WSU could be a tough game on any court against any opponent.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

Somehow I have a feeling the boys will click on all cylinders against UMBC and pick up a nice double digit win

I have to miss both games this week due to other engagements. So I'll take the blame if something goes horribly wrong.

Nobody will care because they look at the hyphen and say you should win and especially at home but these guys are the real deal.

Anything less than 100% effort is going to mean HCGM's first Chuck loss.

Gal is going to have to really step up and play his best game on this continent because their guards can light it up....all of them.

They can score more points in a half than we can (now) in a game. This is going to have to be a real lunch bucket/ hard hat team. Fight and claw and find ways to win. As Aargh said though we are going in the right direction and MG and AE belong in D1 and need to find their games fast.

Durley is progressing nicely. The Seniors are leading the way. Ramon is playing better and better and looks fantastic of late. We need 4 more steady contributors and AE and especially MG need to be 2 of those.

The next 7 set the table for the Valley. A more important home stand there could not be for this bunch. One game at a time and MBC better have every ounce of our attention or it will be over before it starts.
