Wow, crap pitching crap hitting, crap baserunning, losing flyballs in the sky, pretty much a crap game all around tonight. Maybe they can get something going in the next few innings and at least show some sign of life.

Hope they show up better than this for the weekend, or it could get really ugly, as if getting your ass handed to you by KU isn't ugly enough.

              KC we need JoeBoo!!!!!!!!!!

First 5 game losing streak for Gene. That's bad enough, but I'm sure 10 will be even more upset with how the Shocks loss. Sounded like we were about as meek as we could be. Showing no cahones whatsoever. The lack of competitiveness is really painful and disturbing.

                :(

Yeah that was a really weak performance. They really didn't seem "there" tonight. Pitchers couldn't maintain control for any length. Hitters weren't swinging with any authority. Couldn't get anything squared up. Poor fielding.

They got tomorrow to shake it off and forget about it. The starter for KU was really good though. He didn't leave much over the plate. He really spaced his pitches well. And for all of those of you that love the bad news, (KC), that is the first time a Gene team has lost 5 in a row EVER. That's pretty incredible. Helps you realize how good we got it as shocker baseball fans.

The way we're playing right now, our only in-state win might be against Tabor College on April 28.

I'm breakin him out.....for the next game. But I don't think there is enough chicken in the world to sacrifice to cure this team's ills this season.

You could not be more wrong. I love that we suck in baseball right now - NOT!. I especially love losing to KU - NOT! I'd rather have someone stick a broom stick up my arse than losing to KU of all teams.

I'll bet that bus ride home is a wee bit on the unpleasant side! Get off the bus and head straight to the batting cages.

Yo bartender, Jobu needs a refill!

I have to apologize to KC Shox. He was right. I did not see this coming.

I guess I'm use to Gene reloading each year with new guys, redshirts, and upperclassmen who are just primed to take advantage of the opportunity to play. I figured this year wouldn't be any different. I knew there would be some rough spots, but I figured they would at least compete. I was wrong on all accounts.

No need to apologize. Before the season started, I said at the 12 game mark we would be 7-5, I'm one game off and we are 6-6. I do hope when we get into Valley play we can make up some games and meet the 40 win mark. This is possible because the Valley stinks, (but so do we thus far) so I don't know what to think about that.

It is still early. How's that for a little positivity on my end?
