It appears RS FR. Antwoine Hubbard for OU will make the start against us. He is 1-0 with a 2.68 ERA in 17 innings pitched with 22 K's. His lone victory was against TCU in a mid-week game where he held them to 1 run in 5 innings.

OU is loaded with mid-week pitchers. CJ Blue, Chase Anderson and Michael Roch are ready to relieve Hubbard. All these guys have 40 plus innings with ERA's ranging from 3.5 to 4.8.

OU will come out hard in this game. They are a bubble team to make the tourney and a win against us will certainly help their cause. I'm sure there will be quite a few Gene heckler's out tonight as well. OU is also a great hitting team. They have a .311 team average and it appears every hitter has a little pop, but no one in double digits if I'm not mistaken.
They do not run the bases well, something like 54 SB's in 80 something attempts.

It's going to be up to the offense tonight. I believe our pitching can keep us in the game, but OU is stacked with pitchng tonight we aren't. So our offense is going to have to figure what's wrong and get out on top on these guys to keep the crowd out of the game and not give OU hope.

Pregame prediction - I think we are going to lose. 8-6 the last 14, offensive is just piss poor right now, no production out of the 5-9 hitters, bad defense recently, and light on pitching.

It looks like the weather on OKC is about the same as here - windy as hell.

If I remember right, Mitchell Park is oriented about the same as The Eck, so the south wind gusting to 40mph will blow some balls around and out tonight.

It could be ugly for the pitchers ... unless of course John Winters is behind the plate.

According to Kennedy, he did a pretty decent job last night.

Sounds like Workman is good to go tonight. Maybe it will be "the" turnaround game.

Thank goodness. Next step is moving KWJ back to the secondary leadoff spot.

Dirks flew out 3-2. Jones and Gillaspie both walked.

In the first..Dirks flies out, Jones walks, Gillespie walks, Coleman gets an infield single to load up bases, Mckeever gets a base hit, Dirks and Jones score. 2-0 Shocks. Workman advances Coleman to third on a sac fly, KWJ strikes out. The good news is he struck out swinging.

2-out double scores two for OU.

                            2-2 after 1.

This isn't all bad, Kelly got his bad inning out of the way and were still tied. So, now its on.
