    • Missouri State announcers are just giddy that SWOMO will be the team that retires WSU from the MVC with a beat down. But they said the torch has long since passed to SWOMO. They also read shockernet and said WSU fans are cranky and pride hurt with the current state of affairs with the program.

Didn't SWOMO finish tied for last place in the MVC last year? The second sentence is hard to argue with.

MSU, where one decent season for every three or four mediocre/underwhelming seasons makes a program.

              • I believe that, to the extent there's a current torchbearer, it's not the Hillbillies -- it's the DBU team led by the guy who should have been coaching WSU instead.

Is there a number of runs we could give up in this game that would result in a new coach?

                    • Announcer: "Elgin, can you hang around for 1 more half inning?"

Elgin: "Why, yes I can. I have done literally nothing for 10 years."

Elgin: "We've always had a progressive president's council with regard to strengthening the league"

lolz. Do people buy this crap?

                      • I'm begging you, please, for the love of anyone anywhere that has ever watched a baseball game, make a coaching change. I can't take this.

Also, guys need to just start running. If the ball gets away from the catcher, just go. The next 3 guys are more likely to all strikeout than for 1 of them to hit a shallow fly ball.

                        • Found a pitcher that has it. Better take him out. The weirdness continues.

Really, that was quite a solid appearance by Barnhouse.

                          • Any semi-moderate level of situational baseball and this could very easily be a 1-run game. Vickers just swung at a pitch that bounced in the middle of the opposite batters box.

                            • Trey Vickers was very hot for most of the Valley season but he has turned ice cold here lately. He had a couple of really good pitches to hit and missed them (fouling them off) then whiffed on a ball that bounced in front of the plate.

                              • Luke Ritter: Bad outfielder, or worst outfielder in WSU history? I know it's vitally important to find somewhere for him to play to keep his .227 bat and 25% K-rate in the lineup.

WSU will need to record at least 5 outs in this 6th inning.
