Do you remember the triple-headers at the Roundhouse?

Kapaun, 1968. Now known as Plaza Del Sol Shopping Center.
    Yes, how about dragging Douglas?
Let's hope he can hit a D-1 Curve ball!

Hey Mom, they let you have horse and buggies on douglas in your day? Who cleaned up the poop?

It will probably be hard for the young'n to understand that douglas was once a hopping place on friday-sat nights. Wall-2-wall cars. But then again gas was only ~1.00 during my time, not like the $3.28 it is today.

Just to kinda get this thread back on-topic, and in a period of history where Wichita is an aerospace city instead of a sleepy cow-town with 4 catholic schools, has anyone noticed Ryan's batting music?

            Just thought it was ironic...

Actually fastbow it is more about not giving a damn what other people think. Maybe sending a quiet message.

I said it on the 24th February. That Ryan Jones would be the complete player by the end of the year. As of right now he just has to improve his throwing from the outfield. Friday he had a chance to throw out a guy at the plate and pretty much threw it in the ground. But all in all he is an up grade on last years right fielder and we all know how good Matt Brown was.

Well I dont know that he is an upgrade in right over matt quite yet but he clearly is an upgrade over matt at the plate. matt refused to make adjustments and swung out of control way to often when we could have used a basehit.

                      You got that right.

Brown had a cannon for an arm, I bet Brown can throw a ball farther with his left ear than Jones can with either arm.

Jones is having a heckuva couple of weeks. Looking at next years team, you've gotta think he'll either be hitting 1st or 3rd in the line-up. I think he has the potential to be dangerous at either. As for his arm...his throw the other night was absolutely terrible, but I've seen him in warm-ups and its the real deal. There was a couple of times in warm-ups last year where he was out throwing Matt Brown. And his defense is stellar. I wasn't a Ryan Jones fan last year, but I really think he's going to be a key player for us in the next couple of years.

I doubt that. Why do you have to be such a #### all the time anyways... Seriously though? I'm asking a sincere question. Jones has a fine arm. Its not matts but its not far off and he doesnt quite carry the frame matt did either so. I think Ryan covers more ground than matt did though. Hes young... cut him just a tiny tiny smidge of slack. Hell, I'll give him or anyone on this team a pass for that matter if they give me... One bad throw for 20 rbi in 10 games.

After 28 games, Ryan is hitting .368 and has scored 34 runs, just one less than Andy Dirks. He now has 23 RBI, which is 4th on the team.
