4-1 Evansville with a couple shox hits

Simpson kills the rally with a pop fly. I had big hopes for him coming into this year. Just hasn't ever materialized.

Gillaspie is some kind of hitter though.

Butler said that Simpson is not playing the the game with any fun. He told him he needs to play with some joy. I guess that is easier said than done when your season isn't going as you wanted.

Shox have bases loaded with 2 outs - a big 2 out hit could change the complexion of the game.

Well we did get a hit (Micah's infield chopper) with RISP but didn't score anyone. You know you have issues when your DH is batting 8th and hitting 0.191

I was just going to comment on this. Why do we keep going with not Parker Zimmerman at DH? We keep running out guys hitting .200 or lower, and a guy hitting .350 in limited opportunities rides the pine. I don't get it.

                  Elam is really struggling today.

If it makes him feel any better, I'm not listening to the games with any joy either...

Holy frustrating baseball, batman. Nobody wants to make a play, on either side of the ball.

I still think there is enough talent on this team to have earned an at-large bid. I don't understand.

Right now it feels like the pitching staff is finally crumbling. You get the feeling they tried to hold things together as long as they could, and just can't keep it up any more.
