I'm all aboard the frustration train here....but no way can I blame Green for that one. He would've needed a 10 foot pole to reach that last pitch.

Meanwhile, KState continues to be rewarded for wearing elbow pads and reaching out over the plate. Why umpires are ok with this, I'll never understand.

I guess I saw it differently. I thought it was a good pitch. He might of gotten a little bit on the edge but if a Shocker pitcher had made that pitch I would have wanted it. One of the problems with our hitters is so very few of our guys are willing to drive the ball to the opposite field. Especially with 2 strikes.

I remember some pretty good Shocker hitters who were willing to choke up on the bat a little with two strikes, move up on the plate, shorten their swings and drive the ball where it was pitched.

I recall the coach on the show saying just the same thing. To paraphrase he said one of the most important thing a hitter has to do is make adjustments during the game with how it's being called and pitched - he also indicated that there are some hitters on this team that refuse to do.
