Who Replaces Gene?

This afternoon on KSGO radio they were saying that Heefner was definitely interviewed and offered the job. He turned it down. They also said that ADES contacted Loren Hibbs and Hibbs told ADES he was not interested. They said that WSU is now down to the #3 guy on their list which is Butler from Arkansas.

If Hibbs was WSU No. 2 guy... [sigh]

If Butler is WSU No. 3 guy ...hope he just skips over him and go to his #4 Hooper.

So that would imply Hibbs was the #1 choice since it was reported last week that he was staying put and the Heefner was the #2 choice. That is assuming all this information is being accurately reported, which it may or may not be.

Possibility that Heefner wanted to bring his pitching coach from DBU but told he had to use BK which made him turn us down ?

What if Heefner was in town actually to do his own covert interview to hire Kemnitz....

Whatever! lol The east side is where its at. Between 127th and Andover Rd and 21st to Central is all slight rolling hills filled with beautiful housing and golf courses. The west side is incredibly boring except for the 21st and Maize rd area.

Can't say I get where you guys are coming from. If BK wanted the WSU HC gig right now, I'd have to assume there would be no conniving required for him to secure such. If BK wanted it, it'd be his.

I'm sorry, but the two leading candidates for this position are not better than what we had with mean Gene. I will take crabby ole Gene and our 2nd place valley finishes over a guy ( Butler) who will bolt to the first SEC school that offers the minute we have our first post season success. Either give me a known quantity (head coach that has been there done that) or somebody like Hoop who might be a bit riskier hire but has a major upside.

Dont worry that guy sounds like they type that lost his girlfriend and the city league championship from a west sider in high school. If you squint from a distance you would swear he was an insecure KU fan. Also, the West side has all the lakes and green grass from all the free well water, the eastside is all brown from trying to conserve the water.

On a nearly exclusive basis, major national chains choose east Wichita for their first and potentially only locations, as do people building 7 figure homes.

The west side isn't boring necessarily, but it is the definition of vanilla, cookie-cutter, urban sprawl. You have a Walmart-anchored retail center that utilizes the cheapest building facades/designs available, and acres upon acres of new homes built to the lowest specifications possible because the market commands nothing more.
