He should have just bit the bullet, said that even though he knows Ben did not intend to hit Molina, that there was no way in h*ll that should have happened and it was very unfortunate judgment. The comments Gene made was the beginning of the downturn in Shocker baseball.

Arkansas was picked as a pre-season #1 in both the CBN and Coaches poll and finished around 30th? Disappointing to say the least. They scored 4.9 runs per game to our 5.5 runs per game. They played fewer games against 200+ rpi teams but lost one more game then WSU did to 200+ rpi teams last season. Arkansas hit 27 HRs to our 24. Arkansas hit .260 as a team to our .292. WSU team fielding % was .977 to Arkansas' .964. He may be a great recruiter but it doesn't appear that it translated to better on the field performance.

I will say I think Arkansas has had some good hitting teams in the past but this doesn't appear to be a step up in any way?
