So, SB, you were asking me Saturday about the runs Arkansas was supposed to give to WSU? Well, there they were, just a day late -- and Arkansas just gave away a regional championship along with them.

The Hogs have a decent team made good by an outstanding pitching staff -- imagine what WSU would have done this past season, given their much better defense, if they had been armed with the Arkansas staff -- but today they were up to their old tricks in terms of giving away runs, and when you don't hit much, that just isn't something you can afford.

Oddly, as things worked out, only one Kitty run was officially unearned due to a defensive miscue. The fatal final two were the fault of the pitching even though no "errors" were committed; two runs on no hits or errors without a ball leaving the infield can scarcely be laid at the feet of anyone outside the battery, and in this case no passed balls were charged, so who but the pitcher is left? Bottom line is that they gave away three of K-State's four runs, and that will get you beat unless you do some scoring of your own.

Kitten fans still finding their way to the WSU boards, even after WSU is out of the regional and KSU is winning. Well, you can tell who the insecure, nub, bandwagon fanbase is. I guess this is how inferior fanbases deal with flash-in-the-pan, new-found success.
