That’s why as much as it pained me, I’m tempering my expectations. UAB proved to be God awful so today is going to be completely different on a lot of levels. Can’t have anybody playing scared and tentative and watching fastballs down the middle go by or coughing up the ball 7 times in the field.

Gustafson starting over Williams today at DH. Don't know how I feel about this. I knew Williams has been SUPER scuffling, but feel like we're gonna need him this week to have any shot.

OTOH, you've got him on the bench to PH in a big spot if you need it. And it might well be a platoon day with ECU starting their Righty closer. Start the LH Gustafson and then go to Williams as soon as ECU brings in a lefty.

Meanwhile, ECU has loaded their lineup with EIGHT lefty bats against LaPour. Goodness. Go get em Tommy.

ECU’s playing like they need this to get into a regional.

I think they pretty well have host locked up but are hoping they can sneak into protected seed territory for a super. Which I think is wishful thinking at this point, but I admit to not having followed this stuff closely for 10+ years, cuz, you know...

I believe it’s the team that has been home the least times, if tied, it goes to a coin flip. And I believe we’re the home team today do to coin flip win.
