Will they try to have Cam steal 2nd to get into scoring position? I think I would.

That was a damn good at bat. Cam didn't steal 2nd but the threat of doing so go probably cauased the balk. With the runner at 2nd the outfield moved in a little to cut down the runner on 2nd from scoring. Jordan cashed in after fouling off 4 straight 0-2 pitches. Like WuDrWu says its nice to have a couple of older guys around (today that was J-Rog and Mo).

Good week for Shocker baseball. Just need to build up on it.

              Never in doubt.

Pretty ugly baseball this weekend. Also a sweep. Kinda fun to be frustrating as heck and then clutch some wins anyway. Not a ton of that going on this decade.

Last few innings significantly more fun to watch.

Our Saturday and Sunday guys cannot walk that many and have us compete like I want on the weekends.

Good news is, you swept a non-Utah Tech opponent with the walks and hit batters still going on.

Scored 24 runs in the series and feels like it should have been 35-ish. Also not all bad news.

                  Staying alive!

Pretty sure we wouldn’t have won this game the last two years.

There is something to be said about a young team (in terms of experience) not playing well for 5+ innings and falling behind 3-0 after failing to take advantage of opportunity after opportunity after...only to find enough pitching and offense late scoring the winning run in the 8th after 2 outs and nobody on base.

Glad to be wrong. Did just enough to get the sweep. Very good week. It’d be nice to relegate the grapes back to their rightful spot in the state pecking order on Tuesday.

                            ... No really, deuces.

I don't know why Gonzaga is always able to make a game of it in their third game. They have generally been winning the third game. Are they lulling their opponents to sleep in the first two? Or saving best for last?

Very happy with the sweep but there were certainly some areas of concern primarily with the pitching. The last two games were a patchwork quilt of piching if there ever was one.

At this point a Johnny Wholestaff patchwork will be on tap for Tuesday's game against K-State. It will be very interesting to see how the coaches put that together.

Right now Tuesday's weather looking great with temps of 75 and WSW winds of 15 mph. Should be a big crowd.
