SDSU getting some better hacks here in the 7th. One thing that I think is a little underestimated is how much tougher it is to hit in these games where the pitcher is in the sun and the batter is in the shade. Once the shade gets out to the pitcher and you don't have ball moving from sunlight to shade the hitters seem to do a little better.

Jace is done after 7 solid innings. Final got his first quality start of the season. Allowed only 1 run on 2 hits with 8 strike-outs vs only 1 walk. Faced only 2 batters over the minimum.
It was a good day for the pitchers. Cold, wind blowing in, pitcher-friendly strike zone and afternoon shadows.

SDSU gets a 1st hit of the season pinch hit home run to right center to lead off the 9th. Pretty much a no doubter making it a 5-2.
Foster Gifford sets the next 3 hitters down in order and the Shocks have a 5-2 win.
The Shocks are now 7-0 all-time against South Dakota State.
Shocks get back to .500 at 7-7 after the 0-6 start.
