Bohm walks, runners at the corners with 1 out. Shocks up 2-1.

Come on Dayton, need at least a sac fly here.

How telling is it about your lineup construction when you replace your cleanup hitter in a 1-out 2-on situation with a guy with 1 AB in his career?

Yep, no argument here. If Dugas is a starter then he needs to be nestled around 7th in the lineup.

The hook came out after that K and DeBacker goes to right field.  Sad to say, but Dugas so far has been a liability in the field and on the basepaths.  8 hits + picked off twice after those hits = effective BA of .166.

No surprise in the free pass. SIUE is more prepared than Nebraska for sure.

Great job by Mason with a 2 out, 2 run single to break it open. 4-1 Shocks.

          O'Brien comes through with a 2-RBI single.

I continue to be more intrigued by O'Brien.

And why he isn't hitting 4th.

Nice to take the lead and nice to take the lead to give Preston a shot at the win. Now let's see what the pen can do.

              Solid effort.

              4-1 WSU after 5.

Got a chunk, and a chance for Snavely to get the deserved W. Now we spin the bullpen wheel.

But you have to admit Dugas has the look of a big time cleanup hitter. Give them credit for that.

Encouraging inning from Alex, striking out the side in order on 15 pitches. Hopefully they'll run him back out for the 7th and start to stretch him out a bit.

Hopefully, they will let Alex go another inning after his work in the 6th.

Chance Segal is able to stretch out to a starter this year, or is he going to be in the pen all year?

I think there is a chance but they have said they will probalby not push either Segal or Cody Tyler to much espeically early in the season.
