Sticking with Snavely for some reason. I guess to blow any chance of him building confidence from a good performance.
Or it shows how much confidence they have with the bullpen.
    Deuces Valley.
    ... No really, deuces.

Yeah, I actually understand that this one is kindof a tough call. I favor the long-play here of developing the confidence of a 4th starter.

Maybe he'll still get out of this and get both.

        Wow. Well done, Snavely.

        5 innings, 1 run, 3 hits, 1 walk, 8 strikeouts.

Who had 5 innings 1 run from the starter today? Not this guy.

Tough luck as a line drive double was about 2 inches out of Bohm's reach to lead off the 5th for SIU-E.

Snavely coaxes a fly out to CF from the 9 hole hitter on a full count, runner stays at 2nd.

Strikes out the leadoff hitter for out #2. 86 pitches at this point.

2 hole hitter grounds out softly to short on the first pitch. 87 pitches thru 5 for Preston, gotta imagine that's it for him and caps a wonderful outing.

This dude deserves a win, come on offense.

Very well done indeed. Really liked what he showed in that 5th inning after walking the 1st batter on a full count and going full on the next batter. Cetainly has made the case for future mid-week starts. In fact, a few performances like today and he might find himself in the weekend rotation.

Croft goes deep! Tie game. At least Snavely can't lose!

Croft with a leadoff bomb to start the 5th! 1-1

Atta boy Noah. That's one way to help your pitcher.

Gotta like that from the bottom of the order. Now we need the top of the order to do their jobs.

                      Boyer walked.

I feel a grand slam coming on.

                      Ritter walks.

I swear if someone gets thrown out on the base paths right now...

In all seriousness, that's got to be in their heads just a little bit, doesn't it?

1st and 2nd, nobody out, Jenista and Bohm coming up.

At least we got them moved over. TBH, even Bohm would have to muscle up to hit one out to left today.

Ritter was willing to give himself up but SIU-E insisted on issuing him a free pass. 1st and 2nd, 0 out for Jenista.

                      Gotta like this setup.

                        I've seen this movie before.

I hope SIUE missed the previews.

They are nuts if they don't go IBB here.

And we are nuts for batting Dugas 4th.

LOL, they can't even walk Bohm correctly.

                          WP brings in a run.

Sometimes you should just be not stupid and IBB people.

It's one way to keep down Bohm's RBIs?
