You're misunderstanding the word "unfair" and the fractions that I put out there. The fractions are just a measurement of the amount of "benefit" a non-athlete receives. The level of housing doesn't matter if every student had the same. A school could provide every student a mansion as part of tuition, and that school would be good to go. The fractions were just me pointing that out. BOTH the number of students and the quality of the benefit have to come into play for this argument to make any sense, specifically because there's no way a school could get in trouble for providing awesome accommodations for every student on campus.

Maybe you didn't understand my first post. Maybe I even wrote it poorly, but this is the second argument that I'm saying could be made.
Your arguments are interesting and ones I have also thought about. Allowing luxury athletic dorms is a very bad path to go down imo.

Breaking: Carlton Bragg suspended from Kansas men's basketball team indefinitely. Bill Self stated he is suspended because of a violation of team rules.

Self said it was unrelated to the rape investigation, but the timing kinda makes me wonder a bit.

            Flagship.

Does he get the Coach K indefinite suspension though?

Well, if Bragg turns out to be the rape suspect, Self is gonna look like he told a bald face lie!!

Yes, he will be suspended for Friday, able to play Saturday.

No doubt. They'll get the SOS boost, moving them back on the 1 line, but no penalty for losing, due to shorthandedness.

                        Win, win.

KU's gotta be one of the thinnest teams depth wise in the country.

They only had 10 real players (Tyler Self is 11 for the record) before Azubuike went down for the year.

So they've been playing with 9 and now Bragg's out? That's 8....and Lightfoot and Coleby are essentially stiffs.

There's a LOT of season left to ride the same 6 players if Bragg is done...and if a kid is suspended TWICE in one season, me thinks you're playing with fire to bring him back.

Maybe the drugs and alcohol and whatever else were his. That would surely be a violation of team rules. And you can spin your public comments to say something like it's not connected to the recent incident if you just say he was in possession prior to that and this suspension is about the possession, not about the use of it during the incident. In other words, maybe he wasn't there but the guys who were said this stuff came from him. So he gets suspended now before all the other facts come out, and let's be real it's going to be like a one game suspension, and they can at least hope to get him back whereas if anyone else has deeper involvement with the other issue, we may not see them again.

Had to go scan the KU board. Apparently Bragg has a reputation around campus for displaying the maturity of a 14 year-old and popping Xanax.
