DeadRed*said... (original post)down 33-7 in the 4th Q with 12 min left and the ball on the 5 and instead of going for it we kick a field goal. Way to give up on your team Stec! TA philosophy right there!
Yeah I'm getting sick of this ****. It's one thing to be bad, but we are so beyond terrible it's not even funny. And a large portion of this HAS to be coaching. We are the worst coached team I've ever seen. It's pathetic. Verduzco has to be the worst OC we've ever had, and that's saying a whole lot considering how bad we've been in the past.
Hope for better things in the future, but if we could forfeit the remainder of the season, it would be better than what we are doing on the field right now. There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

Missouri State to take on powerhouse South Dakota State University. SDSU beat FBS powerhouse Kansas to start the season. The Bears should beat SDSU by about 35, as the Jackrabbits lost to UNI and NDSU, neither of which are at the level of the Sun Belt. There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Not all MSU fans are living in Fantasy Land
BeeLine77 posted the following on September 20th on the Bears Board:
Are you really referring to Memphis and Arkansas State as traditional powers ?
Lets be honest, our MVC constituents schedule and are competitive often against Big[Indiana/ Iowa/ etc.] and lower order Big 12[ Kansas/Iowa State] and similar teams. They seldom win, but get nice payoffs and often provide a competitive scare. We're just cannon fodder for anyone at that level; we are much closer to being a good D-2 program than anything else, and it's been that way for 20+ years now. I again say we are sacrificing being good in a lot of sports we could be very good at, in order to be very bad in football.Last edited by 1972Shocker; October 30, 2015, 01:36 PM.

Gosh just think how much more they would be if they didn't have that boat anchor holding down the last place spot. You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....
.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

Can we include KU in this thread? I'm going to watch at least part of their game against OU today - it being Halloween and all. Should fit the holiday theme pretty well. The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

And.................
Missouri State holds South Dakota State under 40! The Jackrabbit's upset the Bears 39-0.
Had the Bears scored a mere six touchdowns, they would have won. There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Or, if the Bears could have scored five touchdowns and two field goals. There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body.
