I am surprised you didn't consider Minnesota State. Not the D-II Minnesota State - Mankato but the Minnesota State Screaming Eagles coached by Hayden Fox and assisted by Luther Van Dam and Michael "Dauber" Dybinski.

When we played football, we had crowds that were bigger than 18000 on several occasions. I don't have access to the pictures of the OSU football game, but we had at least 25000 and maybe closer to 30000. That happened several times but we just couldn't sustain it. 18000 isn't even close to some of our best crowds.

        • FBS-bound Missouri State smashes Chadron State 21-13 today.

I think the whiteout was enough to put them over the top. Impressive.

Certainly we are in store for another long year, but we have the right guy on the sidelines to both mold MSU into a winner and sell the program across the state of Missouri.

I just want to point out that I had the same problem and it took me a couple tries to figure out what was happening. It's that since JTaylor didn't put the end quote thing in right, when you try to post a reply this system believes you're end quote is actually his and it jumbles up the post to look funny like that. In order for fever to have made his reply look right he would literally have had to fix the other guys post to begin with. I don't know if that makes sense. It has to do with the format stuff. In other words it is not as ironic as you might think. It really just points out the other guys mistake even further.

I checked Wikipedia on Chadron state, and they actually are a pretty good program from the looks of it. It said Danny Woodhead and Don Beebe actually went there and those are/were NFL guys. Not sure if Missouri State has ever produced an NFL guy... Surely they have right? :) A powerhouse program like the Bears... Not that that makes this narrow margin victory over a lower school look any better for them though. It still is what it is.

The big question is if Memphis loses to KU, exactly how bad is Missouri State?

                          • MSU can win a FB game when they play a lower division school whose players endured a 13-hour bus ride to get to the game.

Wow, teams that get blown out by Memphis must suck, amirght?

So, let's do the math here.

MSU lost to Memphis by 60. KU lost to Memphis by 32. That puts KU at 28 points better than MSU.

But KU lost to Memphis at home while MSU lost at Memphis, you say.

Good point, maybe MSU really is at KU's level (congrats on aspiring to being the worst team in FBS and a team incapable of winning at home to South Dakota State, btw), if we assume that home field advantage is worth 28 points.

Wait a minute, didn't MSU just play a home game? So if home field advantage if worth 28 points to the visitor, I guess Chadron State would have whipped MSU by a score of 41-21 at home.

PS, for someone who was bragging about the absolute importance of a totally arbitrary 18,000 attendance number, it must be kind of embarrassing that MSU failed to meet that total today. Oops.
