Certainly we are in store for another long year, but we have the right guy on the sidelines to both mold MSU into a winner and sell the program across the state of Missouri.

I think the whiteout was enough to put them over the top. Impressive.
The big question is if Memphis loses to KU, exactly how bad is Missouri State?

MSU can win a FB game when they play a lower division school whose players endured a 13-hour bus ride to get to the game. The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

Yippee Ki yay!!
So, let's do the math here.
MSU lost to Memphis by 60. KU lost to Memphis by 32. That puts KU at 28 points better than MSU.
But KU lost to Memphis at home while MSU lost at Memphis, you say.
Good point, maybe MSU really is at KU's level (congrats on aspiring to being the worst team in FBS and a team incapable of winning at home to South Dakota State, btw), if we assume that home field advantage is worth 28 points.
Wait a minute, didn't MSU just play a home game? So if home field advantage if worth 28 points to the visitor, I guess Chadron State would have whipped MSU by a score of 41-21 at home.
PS, for someone who was bragging about the absolute importance of a totally arbitrary 18,000 attendance number, it must be kind of embarrassing that MSU failed to meet that total today. Oops."Cotton scared me - I left him alone." - B4MSU (Bear Nation poster) in reference to heckling players
