For what should the AAC look? Aresco has proven himself to be IMO a superior Conference Leader than the Big 12-4 clown. Lawyers for OU and Texas are developing strategies to avoid any big payments to the remaining Big 12-4 members. Aresco is in a strong position given apparent ESPN support to leverage the negotiations to expand the AAC rather than be absorbed by the Big12-4.

B1G has probably already notified The Beakers they have no interest in expanding their conference to admit Kansas University.

Not when they're (B10) trying to compete with the SEC.

The Buckeyes ain't gonna' want to let playing in Lawrence interfere with that first coveted BCS ranking that comes out the first week of November every year (Nov. 2nd this year).

Buckeyes aren”t paying ku to play in Lawrence either. ku brings nothing to the table and takes a full share off of it.

I have a feeling this will all boil down to what ESPN wants to have happen.

The biggest $$ per school from the remaining B12-2-2 would seem to come from poaching Memphis, Cincy, Houston, and one more. The fiasco a couple of years ago when the B12-2 considered expansion, and then didn't, may have soured those schools on flirting with the B12-2-2 again. Aresco's track record is a lot better than Bowlsby's.
