I don't know, I expected anyone with accidental premature issues to be far younger. At least, that was my experience when I was 16. I've found the older I get, I just have issues, and they're rarely of the premature kind.

Just took a gander at the attendance stats for the AAC championship game and was a bit startled to see they packed the house with, wait for it, 6,856. If that's based on ticket sales, you know there were even fewer butts in the seats.

Good grief, the official attendance of the Valley championship was 11,744. I wasn't there, but from the TV view, it certainly didn't look like there were close to 11,000 butts in seats but it was definitely more than 6,800 people.

I know attendance isn't what's important to all of us with this move, but wow, I would hope for greater attendance than that. I guess that's why their considering rotating the AAC tournament down to Orlando, among other locales.

Keep in mind that that game was played in Hartford. Not exactly a great location choice by the AAC. Would have been a much better turnout in a more central location.

Hosting the tournament at the largest geographical outlier (UConn) in a year when both UConn and Temple are crappy is not a recipe for great attendance. I think they'll go to a rotating model that includes western inclusion (a shocking idea).

Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, CT has held the WBB tournament the past 4 years. The only other schools/cities in this conference to place a bid/attempt to host either tournament have been Memphis and Orlando (UCF).

I have no problem with the tournament being played farther west, but don't knock UCONN for taking on the commitment that most other AAC schools have b****ed out on. Perhaps others need to step up to the plate.

I know WSU will step up in that regard so I'm very happy that you're coming aboard.

I suspected something like that was impacting attendance. Truth be told, while I'm not a huge fan of St. Louis, I think the "central" and neutral location made for decent attendance. It's not a horrible drive from Wichita (although I haven't lived there for years) and was an easy and somewhat inexpensive flight.

Shocker fans travel well but I honestly don't know how many would travel to Hartford. Now, Orlando on the other hand, I suspect there are many Shocker fans who would willingly plan family vacation time to attend the tournament there.

Luckily the tournament is back in Orlando next year so you guys can plan a nice vacation in 2018. I was in Orlando last year and really enjoyed it. It's a great vacation spot after a long, cold, snowy winter. Also, after UCF's season this year, I expect them to have the arena buzzing next year. :)

It's actually worse than that, Doc. They have two or three words for a lot of things we say in one, like hamburger. That's why they have to talk so damn fast you can't understand what they're saying. Spanish may be even more annoying.

Words of advice for any Wichita people: Stay away from the ECU fans. Be gentle with the UC fans, they are very sensitive and will get you banned.
