WstateU , when you have a photo that you want to post, what happens when you "long tap" (just hold your finger on it for a couple seconds)? Does it give you the option to use the cached version or the original URL?

When I "long tap", here's what I see.

"Images may be subject to copyright."
"Save image"
"Share image"
"Copy image"

I believe the URL shows up when I paste to Shockernet. The photo shows when I "preview" and then only the URL shows when I Post. I'm posting this reply from my laptop and will try to post a photo later from one of my Apple devices. Just updated both devices earlier this morning with the iOS 11.1.1 software. Thanks!

Okay, what options do you get when you click "Share image"? That might be where you get the raw URL you need.

I noticed the little blue "go to unread posts" button is gone. Was that intentional?

It's now hard to notice which threads have unread posts.

Yes, that was intentional to remove clutter and the weird color icon. I assumed the bold title was enough. Let me think about a font or color change to make it more obvious.
