I do see others shared tweets when on the computer here at work. I don't see any of them I don't think when I'm on my phone. I know I've seen Reaper post tweets over the weekend and I can't see them as I'm almost always on my phone then.

I can deal with that though. I was just annoyed that if I'm on my phone and see a tweet I either couldn't share it, or if I'm at work I had to pull up Twitter and find the tweet

I noticed that too. I don't think the like of the original posts "sticks" though. I think it looks like you have liked it, but if you refresh it will only show that you liked the comment. Maybe someone else can click Like on my comment here and then refresh the page and see if your post gets a permanent like too?
