    • I'll boycott my family kneeling for lower taxes and more support for children's hospitals if they do it while disrespecting the flag and the men and women that serve this great country. And I don't care if it's my mother going to see her mother.

And I'll say this.....I don't see a heck of a lot of difference between BLM and the KKK. Both are unintelligent, race baiting, race hating, evil individuals. We can argue this and that....both are awful groups of people (at their core).

President Obama had BLM (what do we want? Dead cops. When do we want them? Now!) to the White House. Sure I was irritated, but the MSM? Not at all.

Can you even FATHOM the response if President Trump were to have a beer forum with the Grand Dragon? Believe me, the response would be bigly.

        • The civil rights and Vietnam protests changed America. Today, they might be illegal.

          • Alejandro Villanueva says he unintentionally separated himself from his Steelers teammates in the tunnel on Sunday and didn't intend to stand by himself for the national anthem.

Wow. He takes the blame and responsibility. Unreal. The one MAN that has served, he takes the blame. I heard his uniform sales skyrocketed overnight. I hope he gets every penny of those sales (I know he won't), but I'm guessing he'd give them away if he did.

What a world we live in that out of anyone he's the guy at the podium apologizing.

              • Well after tonight and the backlash against the Cowboys, we know it was never about kneeling during the anthem.

                  • Good to see the V.P. add his support to the President on this matter concerning people (any!) who are discourteous to the flag. Is this the conversation E. Holder was looking for?

                    Stumping for 2020.

Any of you considering a boycott: what if the same type of protest were done for a cause you believed in? Hypothetically, let's say it's 2009, democrats are in charge of the government, and a major pro-abortion bill passes. In protest of the recent events, some NFL players take to kneeling during the national anthem. Do you still boycott the NFL if the NFL doesn't take a hardline stance against the kneeling?

If the answer is no, then all this disrespect stuff is silly. If yes, it's totally pointless to re-hash the same lame debate about whether or not systemic racism exists since it's obviously a debate about the need to worship the flag.

And of course Yahoo, being the POS, liberal, fake news, despicable site that it is has the following headline: "Steeler who stood for the anthem regrets it". I fear this country is about one generation from ending...

                          • As I see it, the NFL has a week or two to do something about getting politics
off the field. That is NOT why people tune in and it IS why many will tune out.
Goodell needs to be replaced ASAP and an immediate rule change banning
political statements at the stadiums. The NBA better be paying attention.

The problem is the NFL already has strict rules banning political statements. The NFL is choosing to "overlook" this political statement and not enforce their rules. I don't see how it can be any more clear than this from the 2017 NFL rules.

Throughout the period on game-day that a player is visible to the stadium and television audience (including in pregame warm-ups, in the bench area, and during postgame interviews in the locker room or on the field), players are prohibited from wearing, displaying, or otherwise conveying personal messages either in writing or illustration, unless such message has been approved in advance by the League office. Items to celebrate anniversaries or
                              memorable events, or to honor or commemorate individuals, such as helmet decals, and arm bands and jersey patches on players’ uniforms, are prohibited unless approved in advance by the League office. All such items approved by the League office, if any, must relate to team or League events or personages. The League will not grant permission for any club or player to wear, display, or otherwise convey messages, through helmet decals, arm bands, jersey patches, or other items affixed to game uniforms or equipment, which relate to political activities or causes, other non-football events, causes or campaigns, or charitable causes or campaigns. Further, any such approved items must be modest in size, tasteful, non-commercial, and noncontroversial;

There are three different groups of people who don't like the political statements and direction of the NFL.
                                1. Patriotism for the flag and National Anthem out of respect for those who have given their life for our country.
                                2. I paid big money for entertainment. Leave me alone.
                                3. People who believe both.

The NFL has lost its way and Hollywood's just crazy. Just stop it.
That is where the booers are right now.
