    1. He is anti-free trade. Conservative have been fighting for free market principles and he came did the tariffs that democrats only hoped they could do.

    2. His foreign policy is broken. He spit on our traditional allies and cozied up to our enemies. And never had anything show after except our opponents think we are weak and allies didn't trust us. Russia is not our friend. North Korea is not our friend. China is not our friend. He has did everything a democratic leftist would want.

    3. He did his own preferential tax deal for companies. That is what the democrats do all the time - they pick who they want to win and who they want to lose.

    4. He attacks the legitimacy of all the government institutions when he doesn't get what he want - even if they were appointed by him.

    5. His fiscal policy had helped continue the bankrupt policies of the nation. Record debt expansion.

    6. He is just a mean, hateful person. He is selfish and prideful. He is morally bankrupt. Fit in perfect with the democrats.

    Trump is the ultimate RHINO.

Really, what has happened is we have the Democratic party, and the Republican party - which there is no real difference. We don't have a Conservative party any more.
These points have some merit, but they aren’t universally true across all his policies and/or they define every politician to some degree.

    • Here's how I sum up American politics and then I’m punching forward to something more substantive like Jackie Stiles next trip to Wichita.

The extreme right is operationally dangerous however the extreme left is strategically dangerous and much better at hubris. Between those two ends of the spectrum is a bunch of people who agree with each other about 75% of the time as an average but cannot see through the 25% because that is what instigators for profit want you focused on.

The socialists are successfully shouting down the rational, moderate position and spinning it as if it's extremist. And their propaganda is warping the minds of the formerly moderate base. At one point in Nazi germany, exterminating Jews became moderate. In the liberal minds the BLM riots were rational and moderate.

          • If folks don't understand Biden's America versus Trump's America compounded with the concept of the lesser of two evils then I'm not sure where to start.

            The below is true, IMO:

Trump is a scumbag on a personal level, and won't be showing up to teach Sunday school at your church any time soon. He also likely operates from a position of low morals/ethics when it comes to business - a discussion all its own on a macro level, and a fly in the ointment generally of free market economics.

            Also true, IMO:

During the Trump administration this country was on drastically better footing economically, internationally, with respect to natural resource independence, border security, and so on ad infinitum. The differences are stark, and obvious.

Both statements above can be true at the same time. The point is this country needs to stop voting personalities and start voting policies and results. We've been voting personalities for decades now, much to the detriment of the country from a policy/results perspective.

Still would be considered quite extreme (right) when it comes to morals, values, citizenship, crime & punishment, etc.

I find the following advertisement moving:

Ask VDH if he is voting Trump or Biden eighteen months from now.

              • Choosing from the following list: (https://www.politico.com/interactive...hopefuls-list/), Nikki Haley looks to be the best marketable candidate at this point. She needs to moderate her language on abortion and tax-cuts though if she wants to win a general election. You can be pro-life and pro-business without screeching about bans and dropping the corporate income tax.

We need to balance the budget in this country and continue to promote respect, kindness, accountability and freedom. Just the kind of job for a woman ambassador.

People need to learn about taxing corporations. Corporations do not pay taxes out of their pockets. They are beholden to stock holders, and will pay those dividends. So the tax increase is passed to end users of corporate goods and services. In other words, we all pay the taxes for corporations. Govt should be satisfied with the income taxes paid by the employees of those corporations not the profits.

Indeed, and even income and other employment taxes make us less competitive. Can you imagine how much more competitive we’d be as a country if corporations didn’t have to pay those taxes? It also promotes hiring illegals over citizens. Under the table for less money and no one pays any taxes on it.

                    • There isn't a single soul that could win running on what really needs to be done. ie, cut the federal government down to paying for a military, SS, welfare and running the government, ie the courts, passports, border patrol, etc. At the federal level, we shouldn't be paying for anything that doesn't fall in those areas. No corporate welfare, no new capital improvements for the fed gov't, no raises for politicians, no money to Ukraine, other countries, any of it. We basically need to regroup and get our house in order for the next 3 or 4 years delegate 90% of the government back to the states and then move forward in a sober manner and on a budget passed by congress.

$5 trillion is sufficient. If you can't make due on that, you shouldn't be employed.

                      • I would be willing to wager that the Republicans put either Tim Scott or Nikki Haley on the ticket as VP.

                        • The sensationalistic rhetoric happening in politics needs to be toned wayyyy down. That starts with you and me. The Fox News, CNN's, and MSNBC's of the world need their ratings halved, or even better, quartered.

People need to get back to focusing on their work, their family, their future. Leave the soap opera that is political news behind. I managed to get a family member to stop consuming Rush Limbaugh a couple years ago, and their peace has never been better. Every time the discussion comes up, they thank me for helping them unplug. And they are HARDCARE (stop the steal) Republican.

Imagine working in a company comprised of two teams. You are either on the blue team or the red team - each having their own president. Typical behavior in the company would be non-stop blame game and conspiratorial thinking. Each department would have managers constantly spewing anecdotes, opinion, and outright lies about the other team - the threat of physical violence would be ever-present. How do you think that company would fair compared to their peers?

I just described the goold 'ol US of A. And people wonder why nothing ever gets done in Washington? There was a time when D's sat down in the lunch cafeteria with R's. There was reasonable discourse. Opinions differed, but many common goals remained - like the shared love for our country. We need to get this back, and it starts with reaching across to the other side. I try to do this whenever I can when talking to hyper-liberals, and it WORKS! Will you?

                            • Imagine if just the blue team were willing to lie, cheat, steal and create chaos in order to obtain key management positions in the company, while the red team was being told by blue team members pretending to be red team members to just stay calm and ignore the rhetoric or else the increasing division will never stop.
