  • We could be headed for civil war regardless of who wins, that, or all the terrorists that have been allowed / encouraged to enter the country will destroy our infrastructure causing unbelievable chaos. Illegals and welfare recipients will break into any store or home to survive.

    • Another congressman has announced he will be departing at years end. He cited that current lawmakers have more interest in click bait than serving the public, so he wants to move out of the way to make room for the younger generation.
Seems to me that the younger generation only cares about clicks and likes. So where are we headed?

      • INSANE: The US Relies on China and Russia for Its Ammunition Supply

        https://redstate.com/streiff/2024/01...upply-n2169324

The US military is almost entirely dependent upon China and Russia for a metal used in many military applications, such as explosives and armor-piercing bullets. The metal is antimony, and China currently owns 53 percent of the world's supply. However, it processes over 80 percent of antimony ore through contracts with other producers. The US's last source of antimony, the Stibnite mine in Idaho, ceased operations in 1997.

It isn't just the military that relies on antimony, though it does appear insane to import the key element in manufacturing modern military munitions from your most likely adversary; the private sector is also heavily reliant on the metal.

This issue has hit the front burner of Capitol Hill. The House Armed Services Committee is investigating the status of the Defense National Stockpile, which is charged with maintaining a strategic reserve of rare minerals. Our stockpile and the infrastructure to operate it will largely cease to exist by 2025 unless urgent action is taken.

Crap like this simply validates the idea that we are ruled by fools and buffoons. Congress has nearly sold off the stockpile, according to Defense News, " over the past several decades to fund other programs."
The stockpile was valued at nearly $42 billion in today’s dollars at its peak during the beginning of the Cold War in 1952. That value has plummeted to $888 million as of last year following decades of congressionally authorized sell-offs to private sector customers. Lawmakers anticipate the stockpile will become insolvent by FY25.

“A lot of what happened is Congress just getting greedy and finding politically convenient ways to fund programs that they weren’t willing to raise revenue for,” said [Massachusetts Democrat Seth] Moulton.

These sell-offs have included 3,000 short tons of titanium, used in building military airframes, and 76 million pounds of tungsten ores and concentrates, used in military turbine engines and armor-piercing ammunition. They have also included more than 2 million pounds of tantalum, used in electronics, as well as 26 million pounds of cobalt and 62,881 short tons of aluminum.

I am not sure it really matters at this point. One way or the other we seem to going to hell in a handbasket.

My prediction is Mike Obama will come in to save the day for the Democrats and will get elected to 2 terms. Which would Barack Hussein Obama's 4th and 5th terms of office only interrupted by Trumps first and only term. They should easily be able to complete whatever transformation they are working on by the end of 2032.

I hate being so pessimistic but we just have too much idiocy, corruption and apathy to overcome. But it seems like the die has been cast.

I'm not conceding yet. We've lost allot of ground but I believe there are plenty of patriots who are willing to bear arms in support of our country if it comes to that. I told my son's years ago that we would see another civil war in the not to distant future. Looks to be getting closer every day.

I don't see another Civil War resulting in a unified country. Might split it apart which maybe is what is needed. Hopefully, we could accomplish that without a shooting war. Our global enemies would love to see the U.S. in a all out Civil War.

Our only chance is to embrace the Constitution, restore the rule of law and equal justice, significantly reduce the power of the Federal government while returning more power to the States. I am not at all confident that is in the cards. I think we are too for gone as a country and we live in a world that has gone nucking futs and is getting worse by the day. Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.

              • The side that will be more apt to take violent action against the government en masse will be the left, if they lose. This, again, is media/leftist projection that the right would.

If you look back through history, it's the left that riot. It's the left that enact civil disobedience. It's the left that want to ostracize and 'other' their political opponents. And it will be the left that will violently oppose the election of Donald Trump, because they have been brainwashed that he is 'literally Hitler'.

Antifa laid siege to a courthouse for weeks in Portland. CHAD, or whatever that was, blocking traffic, vandalizing art, the examples goes on.

When the right does anything, it is either in direct response in actions against their property, or it's a Federal entrapment thing.

The left needs government control and can trigger their lackies so easily. The right has more independent minds.

                  • I don't know if this is true or not but if so it is condemning in many ways.

A report on waters show tonight had a congressman on who claimed that the Russian hoax was instigated by Brenan and the CIA who created a list of 26 Trump associates to be spied on, even by other countries, in order to find anything that they could use to facilitate the FBIs investigation.
According to the congressman there was a binder with all the information about this CIA move, but the binder was misplaced at some point. He believes it was at Mara Lago, and was the main reason for the FBIs raid, to retrieve this binder.
Sounds a little bit out there to me, but I no longer disbelieve anything about the deep states antic's.

It does sound 'out there'. And totally within reason from a bunch of lrfties hell bent on keeping the grift and march toward government control going.

Really, given their actions, it's not out there at all. For me anyway.

                            • America doesn’t need a Trump, and it sure as fook doesn’t need another four years of Weekend at Bernie’s scripted by Obama’s holdovers. What it needs is a Javier Milei. Someone who will come in and literally collapse the scale and power of the federal government. Not to get the fourth branch of the federal government swayed to a particular side, but to light a nuclear bomb under that fourth branch.

It is the only way to correct the federal government so that it again both works for the individual but also fears the individual. Until then, the fourth branch will remain on autopilot, running over anything that gets in its intended path - including the three other legitimate branches of government. The problem undergirding a myriad of problems recognized by all political flavors isn’t the Supreme Court, or Congress, or the President; the problem undergirding all is the administrative state.

                              • I believe Trump is the only one who has the balls and desire to shred the deep state. That is why every government agency works so hard to disqualify him.
There is no Republican who can withstand the assault of federal agencies and media other than Trump.
