I absolutely agree with this. My niece is a doc and she would also agree (she works for Tennessee as a Medicaid doc so she sees this every day). Parents ought to be able to give their children all the tools they need to be successful in life. If you're working for poverty wages, that's kind of hard to do when you have 4 or 5 + kids.

From a moral perspective, I agree that those that can’t afford a child shouldn’t have one. Children will lead one to poverty as fast as anything. Poor folks should have access to free birth control; and they do.

From a liberty perspective, it doesn’t get any more authoritarian than this. So I ask, it is a woman’s right to choose to terminate a pregnancy and a women’s right to choose to become pregnant, or are you just a soft eugenisist?

Thanks for the compliment. I consider myself middle-of-the-road, but I don't think a lot of the posters here would agree. I will say I currently lean left, but I can remember a time about 20 years ago that I religiously listened to Rush.

I've had to work for everything I have right now. I have to be accountable to my employer every day. I think most of us are in that boat. Why should anyone get a free pass?

These examples seem extreme, at least to me. Therefore, there are probably less extreme measures that would work to reach certain goals. The idea is not to get complete capitulation, but find a level that would convince an acceptable number/% that could be considered a win for a society in general.

Well, the US government spent about $13,500 per capita in 2019. So, if your household AGI is under $100,000 you are likely a "taker."

On average if your AGI is below that level, then the government spends more per capita than you pay in taxes. Keeping the seas open for shipping, inspecting your meat, fighting shadow wars to keep you safe, funding interstates so you can visit Newton, etc...

I did point out that those were the extreme examples. The argument was that if you are on welfare then you shouldn’t be allowed to have kids. What does that look like if it isn’t mandated sterilization or abortion?

Shouldn't only "ingredients" be available with food stamps? e.g. bulk flour, sugar, salt, meat, veggies, fruits, etc. Things you have to cook -- not pre-processed foods. That would require the welfare recipient to have some skin in the game (cooking), make the dollars stretch much further than they do today, and limit the frustrating arguments over what should/shouldn't be covered.

I guess it's possible as Trump has faced unbelievable headwinds over the past 4 years. Tough to battle the Democarats and their deep state allies, the wealthy globalists, the corporate media, big tech, crony capitalists, the education mob and China. Trump has done quite well considering the powers allied against him but it may just be too much to overcome to gain reelection. That said I would expect it to be much closer than this and I don't think another Trump upset is impossible. However, even if Trump pulls out a win it probably only delays the inevitable for 4 years. And these forces aren't simply going to walk away and let Trump do his thing,

Keeping the Republicans in control of the Senate is probably every bit as important as Trump winning.
