Biden tells migrants not to come to US: 'Don't leave your town'

President Joe Biden discouraged would-be migrants from coming to the United States as his administration scrambles to respond to a surge of unaccompanied migrant children coming into the US.

"I can say quite clearly: Don't come," Biden told ABC in an interview aired on Tuesday.
The President continued: "We're in the process of getting set up, don't leave your town or city or community."There's been a major spike in the number of migrant children in US custody. More than 4,000 migrant children are in Border Patrol custody, stretching federal resources for shelter space thin. Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said in a statement on Tuesday that "we are on pace to encounter more individuals on the southwest border than we have in the last 20 years."

There’s a big difference between his words and his actions. Not surprising for a politician.

        • The president said he would announce his next vaccination goal next week. "We need millions more to get vaccinated," Biden said.

Biden Administration To Meet Goal Of 100 Million Vaccine Doses On Friday

President Biden said on Thursday that his administration would reach its initial goal of administering 100 million shots of the COVID-19 vaccines well ahead of his initial 100-day benchmark.

Biden said that the goal of 100 million shots would be achieved on Friday, which will be 58 days into his presidency.

He said he would announce his next vaccination goal next week.

"We need millions more to get vaccinated," Biden said, urging people to get the vaccine when it's their turn and to take other precautions to stop the spread.

"We're going to beat this, we're way ahead of schedule, but we've got a long way to go," he said.
Well done Mr. President! Way to undo the damage of the ex-President and help to make Americans safe!

Biden is so good, he battles the stairs when he walks up and sometimes he wins. Go Joe. Get those stairs. Yaaa

President Biden, who tripped Friday while boarding Air Force One, drew scrutiny from conservatives who pointed out he once mocked former President Donald Trump’s slow walk down a ramp during a trip to West Point.

Biden poked fun at Trump last September, months after the former president was filmed gingerly walking down a ramp following his commencement address at the U.S. Military Academy. Trump critics, including the Lincoln Project, later used the footage in social media posts and ads questioning his fitness.

"Look at how he steps and look how I step," Biden said at the time. "Watch how I run up ramps and he stumbles down ramps."

I mean who is surprised that democrat spewed their mouth and then had it come back and knock them back in the face. That happens on the daily.

                        • EL PASO, TX—Many are starting to call the migrant surge at the southern border a "crisis" as more people continue to arrive and detention centers overflow. It is currently unclear who caused this crisis, but some critics are suggesting it may have something to do with all the "Free Stuff, Come On In" signs Biden has been hanging on the side of the border wall.

                            • " I said a flip flop a flippy to the flippity flop and you don't stop..." What a terrible president. So brutal. People are clearly flooding to the border because they know Joe is weak and won't stand up to them or anybody. This didn't happen under Trump. Total disaster and humanitarian crisis.

President Biden, during a 2019 Democratic presidential primary debate, said that the United States is a country that tells people struggling under oppression or poor conditions that "you should come," as he argued for a more open asylum policy.

During a 2019 Democratic presidential primary debate, President Biden said that the United States is a country that tells people struggling under oppression or poor conditions, "You should come," as he argued for a more open asylum policy.

But now, as his administration deals with a crush of migrants on the southwestern border ‒ many being kept in poor conditions similar to those Democrats considered a scandal under the Trump administration ‒ Biden is telling migrants to remain in place.

"They deserve to be heard. That's who we are," Biden said of those applying for asylum in a 2019 debate moderated by Univision's Jorge Ramos. "We're a nation that says, 'You want to flee, and you're fleeing oppression, you should come.'"
This year, as Republicans blame Biden's campaign rhetoric and policies for the situation at the border, the president has shifted and is telling migrants that they should stay in their home countries as he aims to let them apply for asylum where they are.

"I can say quite clearly don't come over," Biden told ABC's George Stephanopolous in an interview last week. "So don't leave your town or city or community. We're gonna make sure we have facilities in those cities and towns run by department of — by DHS and also access with HHS, the Health and Human Services, to say you can apply for asylum from where you are right now."

Biden and his administration have noted that there were significant migrant surges under the Trump administration as well. A White House spokesperson also said that "push forces," including "violence, economic hardships, corruption plus two hurricanes and a global pandemic," are driving people in Central America to the U.S.

"Yeah. Well, here's the deal. They're not," Biden said when Stephanopolous told him that migrants are saying they are coming to the U.S. because he was elected president.

Yes. No security or fencing on holding areas but fencing around the Capitol. No paper work before just allowing them into the country. No court dates or caronavirus testing either. No rules. Just come on in.
