I think that the Republicans picking up 5 Congressional seats is the biggest surprise for me so far. With all the hoopla about Biden leading in key states coming from the networks I really didn't know what to expect, Glad they were wrong.

The voters are smarter (collectively) than people give them credit for.

1) Elect the most moderate of all the alternatives to Trump.

2) Retain Republican control of one branch as a warning and check.

-then if Biden gives AOC+3 et al keys to the White House-

3) The Repubs will gain both chambers.

Trump got the most nonwhite support of any Republican running for president since 1960. He really sucks at being a racist.

But why couldn't he reflexively and succinctly disavow them all when asked in front of 3 billion people during a live debate?

It would have been so simple. Everybody in America was sitting there breathless, literally BEGGING for him to respond appropriately.

I get it. Where the MSM treats him like that Uncle that all the kids like because they get away with everything. Therefore, the MSM asks no tough questions and Uncle Joe gets away with all kinds of borderline illegal activities and taking advantage of family members and kids but everyone avoids it because he is such a great guy who gives them things they like.
