they seemed like nice people weren't like the aholes I'm used to who talk down to everyone just because they "decided" to be a Yankees fan.

Who "decides" to be a Yankee fan? Don't be mad at me for yoiu being stuck as a fan of a team of losers. I love how you assume I'm a Yankee fan just because they win and have money and yada, yada. You fit in the stereotypical fan that's mad because I'm a fan of a winning organization and you're not.

the yankees have more bandwagon fans than any team. i guess those would be the people who "decide" to be yankee fans. but then again when most of your brethren fall in the category bandwagon fans it would be hard to tell who is or isnt one.

Uh yeah.. winning teams/organizations tend to be the ones with the biggest bandwagon pools. I don't think you'll see too many jumping on the Royal bandwagon ever. Whose fault is that? Is it the Yankees organization? Isn't it the goal of any franchise to have the most fans and win the most? The same can be said of North Carolina basketball, the Dallas Cowboys, the Lakers, the Bulls (in the 90's), etc. This isn't rocket science. But yet the same discussion comes up every year when the Yankees play the Royals and whining and moaning about everything continues, with the quiet fans who never say anything basically release their frustrations out on the most successful of the same level.

But yes, on an internet message board, it would be oh so easy to assume I'm a bandwagon fan because afterall.. I'm a fan of the Yankees and I live in Kansas.. so it's a given!!!!!!!!!1111 Right??!!!1 :roll:

If you read all the posts you quoted, marty referred to me as a bandwagoner, because he knows everything. I was referring to him and the general remarks about it, not you. Maybe you're the paranoid one?

naw, i'm not a royals fan. i just follow them loosely since they are the closest team. also helps following them since it gives me an idea when if ever my team comes to kc. so i have nothing to be paranoid about.

There was a nice convo in the booth with Frank Martin that was interesting in the 2nd. I quite enjoyed it. I'm also enjoying the game tonight. KC has actually produced pretty well when it's come to situational hitting. That's something they've struggled with quite a bit.

Bruce Chen continues to pitch fairly well. He's earned his paycheck this year and has been quite surprising. He may be the most consistently effective pitcher the Royals have had this year. With that said, I hope we're not relying on him to be in the rotation next season.

I've read where Meche has begun his rehab assignment. Also, it sounds as though Hoch could be back in the next few weeks. It'd be nice to get him some games in before the season ends.

I'm curious to see who gets called up in September. How many roster spots are added?

So Royal fans, can this season be considered a success, considering the Royals won't be losing 100 games this year?

The only thing left to determine is whether the Royals will finish another year in the Central cellar.
