So, is the honeymoon over. The Royals are 4-8 since.

OK. I'll try and engage you Royals fans again.

Royals thump the Tigers 7-3, collecting 13 hits along the way.

While most all are hitting at a pretty good clip, one Royal is in a big slump and has probably affected the won-lose in a negative way. Guillen started off the first 19 games of the season at a .346 clip hitting 7 HRs, 18 RBIs, and striking out 15 times. In the last 37 games he's at .183, 5 HRs, 16 RBIs, and 42 SO. And clutch he's not going .235 with runners on and .143 with runners in scoring position and 2 out for the season. Half his HR, 6, are with no one on and 3 are leading off the inning.

Your Yost. What do you do to help the team?

na, I still think Yost is a huge upgrade over Hillman, at the very least he is consistent in how he manages the game.

hope and pray he breaks out of his slump so he can be traded at the deadline to get some decent prospects. but if yost is anything like cox then he'll continue to show confidence in him by playing him every day with an occasional off day.

                LMAO

The Royals would be lucky to get Ambiorix Burgos back in a trade for Guillen

I don't care if all we get is a bag of balls, Guillen needs to be shown the door. I'd much rather see Kila as the DH at this point.

Guillen is a washed-up has been. The Royals need him to get hot and then try to trade him for a prospect to a team in a pennant race. Unfortunately, this probably means play him every day right now. If he doesn't heat up by the trade deadline, bench/release him.

Trust me, I'm cheering for him hard right now. I know the better he plays the better chance we have to move him.

Does anyone know his contract status and how much longer KC is on the hook?

I watched a little bit of Grandal yesterday. Didnt seem like a bad player.

On the plus side he could fast track to the majors.
